The Redguards up! http://www.mediafire.com/download/g4...Redguard_3.sav
Holy crap, I did not realize how incredibly low bribe costs were in this mod. Well thats basically the game for me already. Damn
Edit: It actually costs less to bribe a fort and the troops inside than it does to build the thing and recruit the troops in the first place :/
Fort: 1500
2 Morrowind Spear Militia: 100 recruit + 50/turn upkeep
1 Morrowind Archer Militia: 100 recruit + 50/turn upkeep
1 Order of War Archers: 300 recruit + 150/turn upkeep
Total investment: 2100 upfront + 300/turn upkeep
Bribe cost: 2000?

I see. I could have sworn the fort itself was taken into account when calculating bribe costs, but it appears you're correct. Its based entirely on the recruit cost of the units inside it. And since the units here are so cheap to recruit they're also very cheap to bribe.
Welp.
Edit: Actually, I have no idea what the bribe cost is based on. In this mod, bribing a unit of Morrowind Spear Militia (100/50) costs 400, 4x their recruit cost and 8x their upkeep. In Britannia mod, bribing a unit of Longbowmen (550/150) costs 1100, 2x their recruit cost and 7.3x their upkeep. And in the base Grand Campaign, bribing a unit of Peasant Archers (220/100) costs 1056, 4.8x their recruit cost and 10.56x their upkeep

What about the skill of the diplomat?
And im sure its also depends on traits of FL for example

"The Dragon is wise, a sage among the ignorant. He knows not all that glitters is gold."
Based on my calculations, the skill of the diplomat and anything to do with the faction leader have no effect on bribe cost. It is solely dependent on the EDB recruit cost of the unit, its experience level, its percentage of full strength, and what factions it can join, plus any diplomat traits that explicitly reduce bribe cost. All other diplomacy considerations affect only the % success chance
extension pls
Granted
Should bribed units be able to move the turn they're bribed? From what I can tell, they have the same issue as defeated units, ie they get their full movement points if the bribing faction comes before the original faction in the turn order, but have whatever movement they ended their previous turn with if the bribing faction comes after.
