    Nice stuff man! Can you send me these units before you go? I added Hungary to the build and would love to add these soon.

    It looks soooo good *body shaking*. I. Need. This.

    Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
    I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

    If you would tell me now, that you´re even able to animate the flags, it would be completely perfect!!!
    Are you able to do so? It would be sooo great!

    Everything looks top notch, however, I do not know why this is, but the rerebraces are far to small, they barely cover the arms properly and there is far to much mail surface between the breastplate and the arm plate sections.

    Is this an issue with transferring the models?

    Because the rerebraces should completely cover the upper arms;

    Though, I get that these are all just initial first looks and not finished work.

    I know what you mean. The thing is the following: the mail armour you see is the vanilla model, re-textured, to fit my taste. Everything that is plate armour however is made up of several pieces, adjusted to fit the maille. So instead of using one single mesh/model for the body that would contain arms, legs, torso ech, each piece is fitted (well, I could almost say like in real life) separately to the body / maille. The "problem" is that the maille model obiously does not "give way" to straps and does not fit properly to the body as real life maille would do, so the pieces have to be assembled in a way, that no tearing in the texture would be visible and, there would be no clipping so on.
    Now I don`t know if that makes any sense if somebody is not familiar with how the models and joints and animations work.
    The reason why I chose to do things this way, even though it took me a whole lot more effort and time, is because this way more customization is possile and also I like to work with CA`s vanilla models and re-texture them.
    Another reason is it is quite difficult to have plate armour rigged to the body due to possible animation and clipping issues. That is why I dd not make them wear full plate or more plate, and also cause of our timeframe, since we have to make them look more or less proper looking for the starting period of when 3rd tier units kick in but also make them look ok for the later period of the 15th century.

    Shame it is that way.
    Hope you manage to at least somehow mitigate the issue.

    You have a chance to surely make the most impressive looking rosters in total war history, proper armor construction is vital for that so the soldiers and the armors look easy on the eyes, streamlined, as these blokes;

    What will be the availability of wagon forts? Will they be accessible to every faction or faction specific?

    They look very professional with their little bird on their chest.

    So what's Hunyadi Era anyway?

    Janos Hunyadi, a guy who just like emperor Karl Franz, gets done, opposite to polish king Vladislavus III or Abaddon.

    He sounds like a resourceful fellow from the wikipedia article.

    King Vlad's death. Classic noob mistake of charging your cavalry into heavy polearm Janissary. It happens to the best of us.
