cant decide on these three monitors
BenQ BL3200PT (VA monitor)

Dell s2716DG

Asus pg279q

I currently own a Asus VG248QE and have recently made a new computer and would like to upgrade the monitor to a 2560x1440 resolution to compliment it.
Now i really wanted the BenQ cause i like the idea of a VA monitor having the deepest blacks. But the turn off is being 32" i feel it messes witht he pixel density to much and feel it will be too large on my desk.
the asus pg279q was on the top of the list until i read more and more about glow on ips monitors (noit to mention all the qc problems it is currently having). also many people say you cant play in the dark with a ips because of the glow. This turned me off to ips
The dell S2716DG is what i would upgrade to but after reading about how superior ips colors are i dont know if i want to get another TN panel.
So pretty much im stuck at a cross roads. one monitor has better colors but the resolution is ruined by monitor size. one cant be played in the dark and the other is outdated tech. So which of these three do you suggest?
one last thing i was tempted in getting a korean monitor but i dont know any reviews for the one i was thinking of getting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA3PC1B58732 seemed kind of shady and not sure if i can trust a korean provider. not to mention it says a 15% sercharge. but it is exactly what i wanted but without reviews talking about the quality of the monitor i have nothing to go on.
Edit: my pc build incase it comes up
i7-5820K 3.3GHz, Asus X99-DELUXE, Corsair H110i GTX, 850 EVO 1TB, EVGA GTX 970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0, Corsair 760T, EVGA 850W, Orion Spark, Proteus Core, Asus VG248QE

Re: cant decide on these three monitors
(your second link is the same as the first btw, but i googled the dell)
if i were you i would go with the asus rog because it has the highest refresh rate of 165, and the panel is IPS which means that while it is going to be a tad bit slower than the Dell TN panel by 1 ms or so, the colors and contrast should be richer as well as the viewing angle.
the glow with the asus, do they mean bleeding at the edges or is it too bright?
i have an IPS panel and i can play at night, it's probably just getting the brightness setting right. if you have a lot of sunlight coming into the room, then the brightness should be a high amount. if you're playing in the dark it should be a medium number or so.

Re: cant decide on these three monitors
TN panels have come a very long way in terms of color accuracy. Unless you can find a review that says the Dell is not particularly color accurate then I would expect at least 70%-plus rgb color accuracy - similar if not better than the Asus you have now. I have the same 144Hz Asus monitor and it is more than enough for gaming and video, and pretty damned near enough for non-critical photo editing which is a major step up from TN panels in years past.
I chose that 144Hz monitor over 1440p for the refresh rate that I felt was more important. The new resolution push was started by sagging TV sales. Nobody was complaining about filmic resolution (1080p) and you can gain a lot of that graphic fidelity of 1440p by using DSR in Nvidia control panel. For instance, in GTA 5, you can render at 1440p, downscale back to 1080p and pretty much turn off AA to get the benefit of a higher resolution in a smoother overall picture, while clawing back some frames per second by turning down or even turning off AA.
You can see some of the benefits here, towards the bottom: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/gui...formance-guide
And here is an excellent discussion on the new resolutions: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...-really-matter
Instead of ultra-resolutions, some developers see much more interesting benefits in striving for DVD level visuals at current resolutions, instead of using assets for higher resolutions.
"The industry status quo is to push ultra-high display resolution, ultra-high texture resolution, and ultra sharpness. In my opinion, a more interesting next-generation metric is, can an engine on an ultra high-end PC rendering at 720p look as real as a DVD quality movie?"
