Re: Sound isnt working
Use google m8.
Control Panel - Sounds & Audio Decives - AUDIO tab - ADVANCED button - PERFORMANCE tab - move hardware acceleration slider all the way to the right.

Re: Sound isnt working
Sound card is SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [B400]
and here is the dxdiag for my sound stuff. By the way, as I said in my original post, this problem is M2TW specific, and the intro movies, also the assassin and spy movies etc.., still play sound as normal.

Re: Sound isnt working
Seems to be that the Audigy cards are ****ing up with the game. Mines an Aud 1 and it does exactly the same thing.

Re: Sound isnt working
your drivers are dated 2003. You need to download the latest drivers which will fix your problem. Uninstall the current ones THOROUGHLY becuase Creative drivers are notorious for leaving bits and pieces behind which cause instability and conflicts. Google and downlaod driver cleaner pro and regsupreme and use them in tandom to properly remove your current audigy driver.
Go here for updated driver http://uk.europe.creative.com/suppor...ype=0&x=28&y=7
And downlaod the latest OpenAL driver here - http://developer.creative.com/articl...&top=38&aid=46
good luck.

Re: Sound isnt working
Thanks robin hood for your help so far. Hopefully we will get this to work.
Ok First I downloaded those two programs and used them to clean out the driver, then I downloaded and installed the two drivers, in the same order as the links are.
It still doesnt work.
Oh and by the way, I've set the game to use "miles 2d positional sound" as well, but that didnt work either.

Re: Sound isnt working
thats friggin weird. Just check creative audio options make sure it's set to 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 or whatever your speaker setup is and set to CMSS2 or CMSS if u got headphones.
