yes that'd be way too hard as this time frame there's still some mixing of who did what and some clans become all integrated into one mythological person. 1 general (2 including family and not a lot of sons / brothers). En'ya Fuyusada is the daimyo and the Amako inherit their position..im fine with - if you've read or glimpsed taiheiki then En'ya is kin to Amako (though Amako will appear in the middle of muromachi after Doyo Sasaki dies and his sons are being sent out to various provinces as theyre absolutely powerful for a time.

So this is what our map looks like diplomatically-
Amazing stuff as usual, Stincky, would love to know more about the sources you use so I can read more about this little covered period of the mid 14th century onwards.
Sorry to Uanime5 and you if I'm missing something obvious but I'm a bit confused about how new sub-province districts are named in an extended Japan mod. For example, your lists of data usually have the 60-70 provinces of Japan but the extended map will have many more as your latest diplomacy map shows.
Again this confuses me:
Thanks!

i use a combo...george sansom's "a history of japan 1334-1615, Origins of Japans medieval world. Then i look on wiki (japanese version) for provinces because they have times when shugo were ruling...cross reference name in japanese and translate it to english. Figuring out Uesugi was really hard....and i do know they took names of mansions serving the Kanto Kubo (Kamakura shoguns) but we're saying this is the land they represent not as they actually lived in Kamakura, besides they're militarizing because they've chose Tadayoshi. To find out the weird clan names i did same as above and japanese version of wiki is really good..anything i was stumped on i figured out there. I know im not 100% accurate but i love the time period and i did my due diligence researching. Off top of my head i know Amako is a little bit but not by much in years ahead, but they were so prevailent during latter Muromachi i had to put them in. Same goes for Arima..i know im a generation ahead...but that's why i made them have regents until they could take over. Taga is same they're Kyogoku Takauji's son grandson's clan but i put them there with a Sasaki regent.
As far as loyalist, takauji and tadayoshi...it's same as rots in that they have clans fighting for the cause of Minamoto, Taira and Fujiwara. Ours is that the Southern Court is very much alive so that's one, and the brother's have had a falling out and evryone who was on their side now has to split...so 3 again.
If you ever get a chance you should try crusader kings 2..there's a mod there for japan...guy did a wonderful mod for sengoku game as well...got me into this time period...because i didnt understand why all the Takedas and all the Uesugi branches.

Cool! some time ago I got the Genpei mod (part of the Monumenta Iaponica Historica collection) for Sengoku from Paradox and it has loads of useful research which I think could also be used to make an "Extended Japan" RotS Genpei campaign. I'll check out the CK2 Japan mod too.
I know what you mean about searching Japanese language sites for useful data - I've got an ever-growing text file with English to Kanji taken from wiki etc which I use to Google stuff. I also found this Kanji/English/Romaji/Hiragana converter really useful:

Must admit I assumed you were multilingual in English and Japanese though!

No sir,
but as a child was taken with Toshiro Mifune's Tokugawa (Toranaga) in shogun! when he does the warrior's cadence and all the samurai's cry with him on 3rd callout...I was done! and yes chatnoir17's mod about gempei and the unfinished 1334 mod...is what im talking about! So you know what im talking about....I like sengoku if I have the need to play minamoto or the tiny clans and try and become their major vassal....I had it one time where minamoto took over I was yokoyama clan and was basically prime minister....generation after generation...re-marrying into minamoto line...
Durruti if you have any ideas lemme know...love to have you aboard and contributing, working now on units and how they should be accessed or if they need to be nerfed... ill post later tonight but I have ideas.
I was reading through the diplomacy and I need some clarification. Are there two Imagawa factions or one?

Okay im free for discussing this. Imagawa soryo is Noriuji and his brother is the brilliant do everything scholar and warrior Sadayo...both of their dsc. are prevailent... I had thought to make 2....not to fight one another at all...but to spread their influence...they are cadet of Kira so I don't think the idea of two separate entities is out of the question. Sadayo was to become Kyushu tandai 20 years down the road...where he lost his influence by getting two of his vassals on Kyushu to murder another would be vassal at a dinner party. So you had Imagawa all over, those two in particular lost a brother who was acting I think in a hokumen no bushi capacity.
