    Am I understand correctly: In your pc, does it use:
    - 2GB without LAA
    - more than 2GB with LAA
    ?

    I haven't checked, but that's the way it's supposed to work. Without LAA, the game can only use up to 2Gb, because it's old.

    During my saba campaign, i get CTD during most siege battles.
    Didn't happen with previous campaigns (AS, rome)...

    Big gap between last trace and crash, probably a memory/graphics related issue:

    hi
    am having random crashes on my bospurs campaign after installing the new AI patch
    i cant find any logs in the mod folder am using steam
    this my first random ctd during my time on the mod i played a lot on saba and rome before never crashed randomly
    i think its related to the new patch

    its a new save as was instructed on the patch thread
    i attached the save where it crashes on if any one can test it out

    I get frequent CTD's, more and more it seems. I have the right script but are missing the log folder. How may I solve that problem? My game folder looks like this, see attachment:

    I have installed EB II F like it's said on the thread but my game crash when i lauch it after few seconds.. Even after two complete reinstall i have the same issue . My logs :

    Looks like you've tried to patch 2.2f onto 2.2. You need to download 2.2b first, make sure that launches, then patch to 2.2f.

    after a CTD my logs do not appear....
    in ebii lgs it is written this:
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt
    level = * trace

    any suggestions?

    We've discovered the choice of error logging method may have an impact on performance as well as stability. I'd highly recommend that everyone go into their EBII.cfg (using Notepad++ and not Windows Notepad) and make the following edit:

    Find this:

    Code:
    [log] 
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt 
    level = * trace
    And change it to this:

    Code:
    [log] 
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt 
    #level = * trace
    level = * error
    It reduces the error tracking to a simpler form, which results in much, much smaller logs. While it gives less information, if you get a repeatable crash, all you need to do is switch them around (by removing the # from the trace line and putting it on the error line instead).

    The difference in log size is significant - we're talking hundreds of KB for "error" vs hundreds of MB+ for "trace". While I've suspected for a while having big text files floating around in memory isn't good for stability (and the longer your session is, the bigger the file gets), it's been reported that it impacts between-turn processing times as well.

    fix my problem? It usually occurs when I try to sally a army in a city by attacking an army next to a city.

    There's nothing unusual in there. In fact, there aren't even any battle-related lines, was this from a post-battle crash? What version are you playing?

    Given the length of your session (over 2 and a half hours) it's most likely you've simply run out of memory.

    Hi QuintusSertorius I am playing on version 2.2m. Yup most of time it happens from a post-battle crash when involving in a battle
    which has two or more armies. I did not enable the script unlimited_men_on battlefield= 1. Does this contribute to the crash?

    Thanks a lot so far for your help as well.

    As I said before, memory is the most likely culprit. If you've been playing for over an hour, save, quit and restart. There's an old RTW trick you can use after battles, too. When you get to the summary scroll, wait 15 seconds before clicking on the tick to return to the campaign map.

    Hi QuintusSertorius thanks for your help. But however now my problem is whenever I engage with 2 or more armies, it will crash right after the battle.
    And it begins even within 5 minutes of my playtime. I tested it 5 times and it's still the same problem.

    I did as what you instructed, and the problem is still persisting. This mod is good but just have too many bugs and having to stop 5 days just to fix a bug is really
    frustrating sorry for being blunt.
