Shocking!! Saudi diplomats raping and torturing women who they view as slaves. However this is not the first time this has happened before, in 2011 another Saudi diplomat sexually raped two underaged Indonesian girls and in 2013 another Saudi diplomat kept two Philippian girls as hostage in the USA.

There is absolutely NO difference between these sick diplomats and the fanatics from ISIS, they're both sick and think they can do whatever they want. You see Saudi Arabia cares nothing about humans and view migrant workers as second class workers who're getting both abused by the state and private persons!! when is the world going to be outraged at Saudi Aarabia for their crimes and put on the sanction list? Now we have a state full with sick persons no different than ISIS fanatics who are not getting pressured by sanctions etc. But ok

I simply can't understand that such a country as Saudi Arabia is getting away with all of its crimes. I guess in the end its all about oil and Iran that keeps them in line. Ofcourse it's sick but this shows they're just maltreating migrant workers aswell because the saudi's with their medieval mindset still think they're slaves and can get away with everything they do. But this isn't just a problem ofcourse for Saudi Arabia alone, just look at other countries like Bahrain and Qatar etc.

Rich and entitled men taking advantage of their station is nothing unusual, unfortunately, whether Saudi or otherwise (though the status of woman's rights in the kingdom can't be helping). What is unusual is that they don't at least have the discipline to avoid this sort of behavior when on a diplomatic mission; I suppose that's what you get when instead of getting a professional on the job, they send something along the line of the king's third cousin.

Its quite unlikely to change anytime soon. So long as they have oil in such massive quantities, they can do practically anything short of starting a war against a western nation and hardly any pressure at all will be applied to Saudi Arabia.
Give the oil a couple of decades to start running out. They have very little of value there aside form their oil wells, which combined with a monarchy that stays in power by practically bribing its people into accepting their otherwise incompetent rule... chances are the entire country will go to the dogs.

True but its consistent with a wider pattern of contempt for human life exhibited by Saudi elites. If the header was "US diplomats rape..." or even "Russian diplomats rape..." you'd be surprised, but "Saudi diplomats rape..." just makes me shake my head.

Saudi Arabia seems to be the worst country in the world at treating its own people badly and exporting terrorism. Sadly they are a US ally and as such cannot be effectively sanctioned. There are individuals from among its elites who carry this evil behaviour over into their personal life.

Its a fair point that there are bad people everywhere. There was a peddler of baby-torturing paedophiles porn (srsly wtf) arrested in Melbourne not long ago. In the UK they had a brothel supplying (among other things) children for politicians to abuse, and at least one of the kids was killed to discipline the others. So it goes on, but I do seem to hear a lot about rich Saudi nationals getting up to evil than anyone else.

Their religious background is the main reason why they are maltreating women in the first place. Abrahamic religions are fundamentally sexist (since they are based on morals that outlived their purpose thousands of years ago), and so are people who follow them. While, thankfully, Christianity and Judaism are living their last days, Islam is still a growing cult, and thus is remaining a serious threat to what we like to refer as "western values".

• The fact that they are diplomats is a severe diplomatical embarassment for their country of origin.
• The fact that this is not the first time Saudi Arabian diplomants are caught doing this makes it even more serious.
• Given that the social elite of Saudi Arabia commit these crimes abroad it raises worrying questions about the treatment of foreign workers inside Saudi Arabia.
