Persepolis was destroyed. I believe Pasargadae was still around. Estakhr/Stakhr on the Attila map was also very close by and became the capital of a new semi-independent Persian state which the Seleucids allowed to mint coins. Persia really became a bit of a backwater under the Seleucids with the center of trade shifting more to the West in Syria with Antioch.
Lots of good architectural overviews of cities for both the AE and vanilla (GC, TLR, and AOC) timeframes at Jean-Claude Golvin's website under "Antiquity."

Yea exactly, I do help out Ancient Empires and was fully open to the idea too and by now I consider myself practically partnered with them but of course do some stuff of my own too cause some ancient cities just are below the era but would be amazing to see in this game and pictured and made playable. I love this era the mods in and still have Ideas that can fit in of course but city ideas I also like to make are below era but epic to depict (may or may not be of use to them) and also other era ideas as you've seen like Paris and other Attila era+ maps (probably not of use to them).

That's really wonderful that you consider yourself partnered with AE , after all those struggles you had with TED, its finally shown the profit.
I just wish CA would hurry up with that patch!!!! When will they release the damn patch for TED, Terry and BOB!!!
Just do what you think is best, because Paris of the 9-10th century could come in useful to the Karling Total War team. Besides, why not make maps before, in between and after as well. You bring great diversity on maps, though the only thing I would say is make city four leveled multi tier. Make them huge, and massive, well large enough but like Carthage perhaps when you do capital cities such as Rome, Athens, or Perspeolis.
Would love to see progress on your LOTR map as well, the Isengard tower, if be.
But for me, I would say that doing the city of Rome should be your last thing. That will require a lot of work, and a lot of delicate making between Rome 2 and Attila models.
Doing Alexandria, Athens and some of the major cities with all the links and pics that other members have posted, should help you out.
Besides your maps, I have had a lot of fun in taking screenies out of them coupled with this mod as its my fav era, and I'm having a blast doing the AAR on this so thank you very much Doomon15 for creating these maps.
With new releases, more screening and more AAR chapters!
I await.....*goes to drawing board and prepares next epic screenshot*

Ya, I did see the Paris one and thought it was very much like Cork in a way, the only down side is the Map of early medieval cork was burned in 1923 in the Irish Civil war with many other documents. Very sad since Ireland had no dark age so much was ruined. But there is no huge Jump in the layout of the town.
