Thread: Mod load order problem - patch 17

Default Mod load order problem - patch 17

    Good day,
first thing to say: Thank you for your incredible effort with the mod. Your work is perfect and made me buy this otherwise bad, simplified, DLC infested game.
Last night steam automaticaly updated my game, and as title say, I cannot load mods properly.

I want to say, that I have searched every avialable information on load order here on forums and generally understand what is needed to do, but it doesn´t work.
All mods are alphabetically first, so they should load before DEI.

    example:
    @deireducedupkeepcost

In game, upkeep is still high. I could do with that, but KAMs experimental pack doesn´t work. I tried game yesterday without it, but found out, that it is unplayable for me.

Thank you for your eventual help, and sorry if it has been covered elsewhere. I couldn´t find it.
Keep up with great work, 1.1 looks incredible, cannot wait for first Roman campaign. CA should kiss your hands everyday.

Excuse my english and have a nice day.

submods must be load AFTER the main mod
your submods must be able to overwrite the main mod files, this means your load order is wrong

But the submod files need to be named alphabetically higher than the main DeI files. Are you using the steam version, or standalone?

Actually submods need to load before the main mod

If you are using the Steam mod manager, make sure the files are listed first (it goes by alphabetical). If its a steam submod, it goes by its steam name.

Is this anyway to make Mitch's mod manager to work?
This is so frustrating, why they do this? Fighting pirates?

So, for example, if I use only two mods: DEI mod and Kam's experimental pack, it should look like this in a steam manager?

    1. a_@aStats105m.pack
    2. b_divide_et_impera_release_1.pack
    3. c_divide_et_impera_release_2.pack

    Hello,

I agree with you about with kissing hands and so :-)

But I have another problem I cant launch Dei at all. During loading the game stop working and I must close it via ctrl+alt+del.
Although smaller mods are working such as all factions playable...
I use actual version (both Steam or non-steam doesnt works) and before patch 17 everything was ok.

Other mods such as Radious Total War Mod doesnt work as well...

    Has anybody the same problem?

    Thx

Is your game updated to patch 17 or beta patch disabled?

How to find it out if its patch 17 or beta?
It should be patch 17, it is automatic update...

So is Vardano's post correct in how mod's need to be formatted in Steam's crappy mod manager?
"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

They just need to be higher alphabetically in the data folder (listed first if you sort by name).

I'd really use it if the Steam Mod Manager works. :-(
any non-steam mod doesnt load if I use Steam Mod Manager so I can use some sub mods
And DEI steam version load just partly, there is missing skin parts (helmets, body parts, shield patterns, ect.)
And of course if I open Steam Mod Manager and I have some subscribed mods it crash first :-)
so I must just download all mods and then unsubscribed....

    OMG!

You are missing body parts because you don't have Steam parts 5 and 6.

Steam mod manager works with non-steam mods, you just have to click "enable out of date mods"

That is correct. Submods first and then the two DeI files following any submods you might have. So listing them a, b, c, d etc is a way to do it
