    Looks like I forgot to update the link, thanks. The file name will be 105 but it should now be compatible with 1.1.

    I believe something is really wrong with the Hardcore Mod...
    When using it with Very Hard Campaign difficulty the game becomes easier not harder...
    I have played multiple games with Rome and all around nations never built more than 3-4 units and they are not attacking me despite they declared war quite often...
    also using the latest fix...

    the load order of my mods is

    1)1.1 fix pack
    2)hardcore mod
    3)Dei
    also using GEM and the better water mod

    Any ideas???

    That sounds odd, they should have a very large bonus.

    The 1.1 fix pack shouldn't override anything but it would be better to load that after the hardcore mod.

    Yeah it's weird...I will playtest more tonight but without it (hardcore mod) AI is aggressive and fields decent armies...I was playing as Athens and Epirus destroyed me before 10 minutes...
    With hardcore though very little is happening around and the AI's armies are meager...I'm using the latest NON Steam download link just to let you know...

    If you check the STEAM's page of the hardcore mod other people reporting exactly the same thing...
    So it's definitely something wrong with Hardcore and 1.1

    Hi Dresden,

    Kudos on an awesome mod and all the hard work that went into it.

    I've would just like to add that I had a similar experience to the other people mentioning minimal AI activity. Playing on N/N with this load order:
    1)hardcore mod
    2)1.1 fix pack
    3)Dei 1
    4)Dei 2

    I played until 265 as Rome. The AI builds province improvements and engages in diplomacy, but it has only tiny armies that don't move and their military fleets aren't moved as well and eventually die from attrition.

    Care to elaborate what was the problem?

    Also which Campaign difficulty are you suggesting to use with it? Very Hard will be an Overkill?

    Very hard may be pretty rough but its up to you. Most of the difficulty in this mod will come at any of the levels.

    The problem was the task managers I had were from 1.05.

    Hello,

    I have just found this great submod, but I would have 1 request.

    How could I revert the double building times? I am not that experienced with modding things. The double cost is fine, but it takes forever to build any basic infrastructure.

    Every other parts seems fine and challenging.

    e.: Is the AI also effected by these increased times? If yes, I guess I should try to change the building times for it.

    Yes but not all. The point is to increase difficulty for the player, which sometimes necessitates not doing so for the AI.

    Is this compatible with AE? What buffs does the AI recieve? Edit: I've read elsewhere that the CAI acts differently based on difficulty levels i.e. N/N difficulty weaker AI factions don't declare war whereas on H/N or VH/N they do. Does this still apply here? Thanks and woof woof

    Difficulty levels will affect CAI behavior no matter what mod is used from my understanding. This mod does increase the differences between difficulty bonuses even more, though.

    It probably isn't compatible with AE but I haven't tested.

    Does anyone who is playing the hardcore submod have a general solution for this "problem":

    Due to necessity i fight a lot of rebels and neighbouring barbarians, taking a lot of slaves. At least i could but reason prevents me from doing so quite often: I can actively reduce slace population in Italy due to the "sell slaves" edict. I only own southern Italy, not Sicily at the moment. Therefore Icannot sell the surplus of barbarians flooding my estates, causing a lot of slave-related unrest. Is there a way to reduce the slave population significantly without the edict? How do you manage that issue? It is so annoying to deal with a slave uprising from time to time

    Does the hardcore mod affect autoresolve (in the AI's favor)? Or does it give the AI combat-related bonuses (apart from bonuses changed by "Battle Difficulty")?

    Reason I ask is that it seems like autoresolve is heavily skewed in the AI's favor. I have to bring overwhelming force, or a far superior army, in order to win.

    I haven't specifically changed that in this submod. It could be that some of the other bonuses affect it, but most of those are campaign things.

    Havent the auto resolve always been in favour of the AI? It forces the player to actually play the battles instead of being able to auto resolve your way through a campaign. Though it can be tedious with many small battles but still .
