Hi, uAnime! I just stumbled over your fantastic mod and I have to say that Iīm pretty overwhelmed. This is a piece of art that you made here!
Maybe you could answer me 5 questions which came to my mind while I saw this;
1. Could it be possible that your region splitting/adding-method works for other TW games like NTW (or maybe even Rome 2/Attila) too? Some of them share pretty similar techniques for their campaign as far as I know, (but Iīm no expert in this theme...), so could it be possible?
2. Are all of the mods you used additionally (like Darthmod or Tenka Fubu) the latest and current versions of 2017 respectively include your mod all of their (often awesome) features or just tiny parts?
3. Is there a opportunity to add chinese music and city maps (maybe just for Custom battle) to the game or are there any mods for this?
4. Will you fix these buggy faction leader textures and disappearing cities if there is any way to do that?
5. The very only thing I would have to complain is, that the new map looks pretty unaesthetic. You can add forrests, hills and different ground textures, right? Why donīt you want to improve your map a little bit? I know its complicated to even add a tiny forrest to the new map and I dont want to sound too demanding (especially because I could never ever do such miracles )... but it is possible! There is a potential that your mod could be a completely new game with the strong base game from Shogun 2, which is one of the best in the whole series imo. It could relive Shogun 2 because it adds a completely different setting to the game - It could be Total War Asia! The only thing that is left is, that the map should be improved aesthetically with some more forrests, hills, fields and deserts. I wouldnīt expect the same quality like the islands of japan, but maybe something that looks less "out of place". Would it be possible? I know it would be much work, but why donīt you want to give it a try?
P.S. If you already changed the map towards this direction and added some of this stuff then please excuse me! I only saw images which are almost 2 years old (in this case could you add some current screenies?).

Rome 2/Attila use a completely different system to S2 so the official tools won't work for these games.
Though ETW and NTW are similar to S2 I don't know if the files produced could be converted into an ETW or NTW format.
They're from the 2015 or 2016 version, though I don't know if either were updated in 2017. I added most features from these mods but did make some changes.2. Forests are affected by the disappearing cities bug, which is why there was little point adding them to China or Manchuria since the majority would not appear.5. Hills I could add if I knew where they were located.
Different ground textures would be difficult as you can only have 5 types of ground textures (currently: sandy, rocky, grass, farm, high ground).
That would involve remaking the entire map since I can't easily shrink the existing map so I can add the rest of Asia.It could relive Shogun 2 because it adds a completely different setting to the game - It could be Total War Asia!
I may be willing to try if someone took a screencap of my mod and indicated on this map where all these forests, hills, fields and deserts are supposed to be located. Hey, thank you for the fast response.
Interesting thing with NTW and ETW. Maybe some could use this technique in the future to improve their campaign maps.
As far as I know the last darthmod update was in 2013 so this should be ok.
After a little researching I found a mod which replaced the vanilla tracks with traditional japanese music, so this is possible. Maybe some chinese soundtracks would be a great addition to your modīs athmosphere. Unfortunately I found nothing about chinese battle maps.

Speaking of hills, forrests, deserts and textures; I could look over chinas/koreas geography and send you a concept in the next month if you want. (currently I am extremely busy with my exams)
AND do not worry; When I talked about TW Asia, I am not speaking about adding all of its territories. The current size of your map is big enough for that imo and I would rather even choose a tinier version, so you have not to conquer 160 regions to be emperor of Japan and China. If this could solve the texture problems, saves your time and allows a higher quality map a lite version of the mod (with half of china or less regions...lets say vanilla japan, 20 regions for korea and 30 for china) would maybe be better but thats only an idea.

I believe they do this by replacing existing music with new music. They're not changing when it plays or adding additional music. So while I can make a Chinese version of the music it will play for all factions.

Japan has 79 regions in the vanilla version, so that would make it 1.5 times larger than Korea and China combined. That would ruin any sort of historical accuracy since China would be substantially weaker than Japan, when in reality the reverse was true; which is why China was able to create a massive army and defeat the Japanese during the Imjin war. Some mixed music would be cool though. Since the focus is not any longer only on Japan in your mod, but on other parts of Asia too, a mixed asian music theme would not be a problem imo. This could be a huge boost for the athmosphere. Maybe it could be made as an optional submod so folks could choose whether they want it or not.
Yeah, I hope that you could solve the texture problem but maybe I will look at this geography thing next month, I already found a good picture of your map to work with. Stay tuned.
Ok, makes sense. So maybe vanilla japan, 80 for china (only a part of the chinese territories are on the map, so historically it would be ok I think) but around 40 for korea... the idea was just, that it should be possible to conquer for example both china and japan in an average TW-campaign of lets say 200-300 turns. With 120 regions only in japan you could hardly reach that goal. The other point was, that in a lite version with a smaller area to cover, texture problems wouldnt be so remarkable. Quality over quantity.
Anyway, like I said these were just some ideas. I really like the current map and when texture and quality issues are gone, this mod will be a perfect piece of TW-History in my opinion.
Please please update this for latest version. It crashes after I select START CAMPAIGN but I really want to play this mod.

I've made another update for this mod. It's unknown if this update is save game compatible.
Below are the main changes.
- Fixed some building errors.
- Fixed some building errors in the startpos.
- Fixed some character skill trees errors.
- Fixed some technology effects errors.
- Updated map textures.

I saw that 2.8 has updated map textures. May I ask if the invisible towns in China are visible now? Or if we could see some of those textures in a preview?
Also, another question: Is 2.8 compatible with my saves from a quite older campaign? I don't want to start over but I haven't touched it for some time (and I won't touch it for a little longer BTW).
In my game (Mongols), Korea and China are allied and most (if not all) of Japan is united under 1-2 clans. I am building up infrastructure to be able to afford a lot of armies to do some dent to someone, to have a chance. But frankly, I am worried that the much more advanced (and bigger) China and more advanced Korea and Japan will simply advance faster than me and the gap in power will increase instead of me catching up.

The towns are still invisible and the changes to the textures improved the campaign shroud (I figured out what I needed to do so it would appear more similar to the vanilla version).

I'd recommend trying to capture all Mongolian, Jurchen, and Tibetan regions. This will enable you to attack China and Korea from multiple directions. I am at turn 304 uanime5... I have most of the outside-the-wall craplands and I have some vassals. But the Koreans have too well fortified cities, one next to the other while I take several turns to get from settlement to settlement. They have... Navy!
Kudos to you BTW for making a mod that the player can't say "This is over, I can steamroll everyone" even after 304 turns.
Anyway, while I didn't play a turn, I loaded the game. It downloaded some stuff.
Is the mod automatically updated through steam? Or what I saw was the 2017 stuff?

Hey man the mod isn't working. I put all the .pack files in the /data folder and then I boot up the game, select the files in mod manger, go to new campaign. Its still the regular Shogun II campaign.
