Wow, those are really great! The Naruto/LoZ pics are fantastic as well.

I like the idea of challenging one's shade in order to prove their worthiness to the clan. Mix that with a hidden castle within the forests where their great arsenal is kept to fight back evil and their goal being to journey throughout the lands to protect the innocent and you'll have a awesome Camelot/Robin hood/forest elves theme.

Bahaha! I just now noticed the Midna shadow next to the TP Link (best Link IMO).

Perhaps she is the one who conjures the shades?

Once again, those pictures are great!

    Which Brings some questions.

    1) Who would you be in this clan?
    2) What's your Clan Name or Nickname? (Example; Link was called Grasshopper.)
    3) What are your choice Items? (Your prefered Items to have on you at any time.)
    Look here for ideas: http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_...f_Zelda_series
    4) Companions: I would say Only 1 companion if any. Whether animal or other types of companions.
    Look here for ideas: http://zeldawiki.org/Animals
    And here: http://zeldawiki.org/Link%27s_Partners

    5) What is your fighting style?
    6) Your prefered land/land type of operations.
    7) Expand on these topics and others if you like.

    4-Hawkeye: http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Hawkeye

    4) I have a Dark version of my self as my Companion. I never killed my shade for the Trial of worthiness. We were too agree able. But since they couldn't find my shade at the time. I past.
    5) For my fighting style. I'm a Skirmisher. But I like to do a lot of Rams and Aerial Dives. My Shade Fights as my Shadow. And has my back at all times. If I can't doge or parry an attack. He will try to parry it. Or move me out of the way.
    6) I don't have a prefered land/land type of operations. Because I'm a Carrier. But if I did. I would say the forests and farm lands. Like Lon Lon Ranch and the Ordona Town from TP. Got Milk?
    7) I like to do Archery in my spare time. And Canoeing is also some thing I like to do. I'm fond of Deku Nuts. Which I occasionally use in a pinch.

    1) I'm heavy infantry, a living wall of steel that stands between the wicked and the innocent. Always looking to test my skill-at-arms against worthy opponents.

    2) My nickname is Steel Oak.

    3) My weapon choices are:
    -Hylian knight sword.
    -Hylian shield.
-Biggoron sword (from OoT), only used on massive opponents.
    -Silver power gauntlets (from OoT)
-Iron boots (from OoT, TP), I'm not going anywhere and good luck to the enemy that thinks he can change that.

    4) I prefer fighting alone but any who stand with me are welcomed.

    5) Head on fighting and attrition, in the end it will be who can outlast who.

    6) Forests, plains, towns, castles, snowy terrain, mountains. Anywhere but sea and deserts.

Not good at horse riding so I go on foot. Not the most mobile hero but when I get to where I'm going...I'm going to make a difference in the tide of battle.

    [Edit] Steel Oak.

If we actually made a faction called The Link Clan. That was based on the idea of Link's descendants.

What would all the units be? Using Link's items and Equipment as well as any of his allies.
    _________________________________________
Just for the Bow we have:

    1) Normal Archers.
    2) Hawkmask Archers: Has Very Long Range.
    3) Bomb Archers: Shorter Ranged archers. But they shoot a Bomb farther then it can be thrown.
    4) Fire Arrow Archers: in game already, Kikokiri have them. or normal fire arrows.
    5) Ice Arrow Archers: in game already, Gerudo have them
    6) Light Arrow Archers: in game already, Ancient Hyrule have them
    7) Silver Arrow Archers: From ALTTP; Have no idea about this one. Maybe more damage.
    8) Charge Bow Archers: From FSA; Slower fire rate. But they have above average damage and range. Plus the ability to shoot through several enemies with any of their attacks.
    9) Rupee arrow archers: From the first game; They have a High Upkeep cost. But have so many arrows they are not likely to run out in a fight.
    10) Horse Mounted Versions.

    Did I miss any?
    _________________________________________
    Now for some Allies:

    --From Twilit Princess:
    1) We have Link using Hawks in Battle: So maybe an Ordona Hawk Man unit.
    2) Link rides a Horse: So varies Horse mounted Units. (You guys can go in to further detail.)
    3) Link also gets help from some Deku Monkeys. So a Deku Monkey unit.
    4) There is also statues that are animated by the dominion rod. I think their are 3 types.
    "1" Small maybe Swarm type.
    "2" Large maybe like Armos.
"3" Huge maybe a Type of seige unit, a combination of Goron Rams and the Bigger fairy golems.
--From A Link to the Past:
    1) We have Hyrulean Bees which if you release them can attack and kill enemies: Not sure how we can implement this. Maybe make them like the twilit Bugs.
    2) Also we have Silver Bees. Better Versions of Hyrulean Bees: Not sure how we can implement this. Maybe make them like the twilit Bugs.
    3) And like Twilit Princess. There are monkeys who help Link.
    4) Also a Bird of some sort. Maybe used like the Ordona Hawk Man. (What do you think?)
    _________________________________________
For a unit based on Boots:
We have the pegasus Boots. Which I think would make the unit like the Darknut Fokka Knights. Just not as big.

Any one interested on expanding this idea with your own thoughts and knowledge? And maybe organizing the information?

    Cool ideas.

For the archers I think for simplicity 4-8 should be magic archers who enchant their arrows at the beginning of battle into one of those types. I also think silver arrows should have bonus damage vs unholy things like undead.

My thoughts on the twilight units are as follows:

    1) the hawk unit is a good concept, maybe medium infantry who send in the hawks first as a diversion. Effective vs range and magic units.
    2) pretty basic I think. Light cavalry, heavy cavalry and mounted archers. Could spice it up with the clan being master riders able to tame any mount, so once a area is captured we could see dodongo riders and boar riders.

This could be balanced by the clan not able to raise anything but light cavalry. All other cavalry must be captured in battles or conquered territories.
    4) I think the statues should be a very rare hero unit with the controller riding the siege sized one. If defeated, all other statue units shut down.

Might make the dominion rod a artifact that randomly appears and is hard to find. The price of using it to create a powerful statue army is that a general who defeats the hero with the rod will take it and allow his own faction to make statues. (I think the clan should actively want to lock away such artifacts for the good of the realm and only use them for dire emergencies)

    Link to the past thoughts:

    1) the insects are a interesting idea. History has a lot of mentions of stinging insects used in warfare, two instances I can think of are when king Richard ended a small siege by throwing bee hives into the enemy's hold out and when Mayans used dummy soldiers that were actually clay jars filled with wasps.

I think we should use the Mayan idea and have a unit of clansmen who use magic instruments(ocarinas, harps, etc.) to summon a fog that makes the OoT scarecrows appear. Enemy that strike them get swarmed by bees that are good vs armor (they crawl under it), good cavalry deterrents.

Those are my thoughts on the subject so far.

Oh go on then it's just a bit of fun :p

    1) I'm a Mage who specialises in ice magic. Is also a very competent healer as well
    2) My nickname is Blue Ivy
    3) So my choice of weapons are:
    - Ice Rod
    - Blue Ring
    - White Sword
    - Golden Scale
    4) I am accompanied by a small red fairy by the name of Inferi who was lost in Faron woods, after helping her to find an exit she decided to accompany me for a little bit longer she is teaching me the art of healing magic.
    5) Prefer fighting from afar, not very adapt with a sword but deadly with magic, if I do get hurt Inferi will try to heal what she can.
    6) Loves the Forest and Zora rivers, hates mountainous regions and Deserts.
    7) Quite a skilled horseback rider, and loves swimming with the Zora. She got the golden scale after saving a Zora nobleman from a band of stalfos. Her favourite animal is dogs and her most prized possession is a few Cuccoo feathers she managed to pluck and survived to tell the tale, which she wears in a small bow in her hair so there you go Blue Ivy

Corcoro wants to partake in this discussion! Corcoro will make a great Link .

This Link would not be me per say nor Corcoro, but I already started writing it, so yeah! Corcoro is already very much a self-insert into the Zelda universe as is, so he will refrain from making this new guy into one as well .

    -----

    1) Who would you be in this clan?

A well-to-do but common merchant's son, but one that carries himself with the elan of a true knight. While not nobility, he is as everyone else a descendant of the Knight in Green, and has made it his purpose to exemplify that. As the son of a wealthy merchant, he was luckily able to afford many of the things that a proper noble would enjoy-- to a lesser degree, but nonetheless he did. He is educated, well-trained, and groomed to be a marvelous heir to the commercial empire born from his family's explosive bomb garden. It is well, then, that his family may take care of the merchant business; he shall make his living off the spoils of those that would harm the innocent.

Granted that this often requires re-selling merchandise taken of monsters and villains, but it is in a different spirit.

Where most rich merchant families will send their servants and bodyguards in their place when called upon by their lords, this man take it upon himself to answer alongside those in his employ.

He is beginning to grow older than the historical names of his clan-- perhaps reaching into his 30s by now, and it is well known to him that the Goddesses have not chosen him as the next true Hero of X. It matters little, for goodwill is a reward unto itself, and though it is not always so black-and-white, there are plenty of wrongs still left to be right in the world.

    2) What's your Clan Name or Nickname? (Example; Link was called Grasshopper.)

Several, as he's accrued over the years, but not many that are especially well known. Perhaps the most common would be The Grey One, as the green on the gambeson he has worn under his armor has faded greatly with time. He wears this worn-out piece as if a trophy, but takes pride in keeping his armor itself clean.

    3) What are your choice Items? (Your prefered Items to have on you at any time.)

The gentlemanly Grey One lacks magical ability, and so makes up for it in prowess, wit, and strength of arms. A Darknut Sword, which is not truly a Darknut Sword, but a two-handed sword modeled on one. In his respect for the Darknut culture and their focus of honor, adversaries though he may find them often be.

He of course also carries with him a simple Sidesword and Buckler shield. For foes at a distance, he carries a sizable pouch of his family's staple Bombs, as well as a Slingshot and a fair amount of ammunition for it, which he prefers to the maintenance required of a proper bow. Should firearms be allowed in this universe, he bears as well a small Matchlock Arquebus in place of his Slingshot.

Of his armor, he wears a gambeson styled after that of Link's traditional tunic, though it is noticeably padded and, as mentioned before, faded greatly. His armor is somewhat heavy, but a light coat of plates, that is simple enough that he can don without the help of a squire but that is covering enough that he is very much covered.

    4) Companions:

A Keaton follows this man around like a companion, but is not one, both at once. This Keaton is most certainly not an alternate version of Corcoro that was rescued after his parents died, no no. He mostly stays on the sidelines, sometimes coming in to offer some meager help with whatever is needed-- from cooking and cleaning to occasionally fighting. Grey regards him politely as a 'helpful nuisance'.

    5) What is your fighting style?

As Grey is armed in a heavy style, so he fights. He greatly prefers the use of his two-handed sword to any of his other weapons, and is trained in it more than any of them. His fencing is very formal, professional, calm, and by the book, but as hard to predict as when fighting any great swordsman. Used in conjunction with his strong steel armor, he rarely needs the protection of a shield so long as he is close enough to his opponent, whom he can usually outreach thanks to the length of his sword. His sidesword is only used when his zweihander is not able to be, such as when he is disarmed or must fight in closer quarters. He is not above grappling or disarming his opponent himself; the blade of his sword isn't the only weapon he can use.

Most projectiles can be warded away by his high-quality steel armor, but in the event that he cannot approach, he will utilize his Arquebus/Bombs and Slingshot to cover himself.

If he is truly in danger, then often his Keaton follower will come to his aid in some way. What those ways are varies from encounter to encounter, and are greatly unpredictable. Such is the way of fox spirits.

    6) Your prefered land/land type of operations.

Hills, forests, urban areas. Open ground isn't usually his ideal place to fight, but he can work with it.

    7) Expand on these topics and others if you like.

    About covers it
    Hyrule: Total War
    Corcoro the Keaton Bomb-smith
