How come the unit icons on the battle map don't have a box around them anymore? It makes it hard to tell whose units are whose.
Just Awesome! just perfect!... Can't wait to see more factions and all goodies this mod brings, And hopefully also new animations and unit stands like DeI get's in 1.1 and with the dust mod added in the test battle,s would just be epic!.
Look at those animations and imagine with AE units http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...8#post14616778
Great work so far guys keep it up and this mod will the best in my book.

I would just like to say that elephants will be nerfed so that they die a little easier, while also dramatically reducing their kill rate. The idea for elephants is to be a large morale hit and a unit that hangs around for a long while but doesn't do THAT much damage. I aim to make them cut through units about 2 times as fast as a normal unit (so about 5 minutes of gameplay before they break 1-2 units in head to head combat.

Wow really great preview videos. Those guys are two of the best TW Youtubers.
Been following THFE for a while, really like what he/they do. On my watch list for later.
hmm i quite like the pacing and feel of the batles, but Iīm rather concerned about how units behave during the fight.
They fight much like in rome 2 at the beginning, will this issue be adressed in the future? or can this even be adressed in attila?
Best regards

itīs just that battles seem way more "cinematic" in Attila than in f.e. DeI.
In THFEīs video when the celtic warband attacks the cohors sociorum, both unitīs men are fighting singular battles, with a resemblence of a formation, but men donīt really hold the line...
Btw, in the same video I couldnīt see if any of the units had shieldwall/phalanx, will units like hoplites get phalanx/shieldwall abilities?
Furthermore, Iīve wondered, if levy unit against levy unit fights take x time, how long will levy against "normal" or even elite units take?
Best regards

I'm sure we will do about formation attack, which is what I think you are talking about. Also twzone has released his video so go check it out! we will attach it later today.

This is going to be amazing.
I'm wondering what you're going to do with the offices, like 'master of horse' et cetera. Will you make them senatorial offices for the Romans?
We would like to make solid use of Attila's office system, and we will redo and add in new ones. It's just not planned or mapped out at the moment, so there's no particular I can give. A lot of ideas that I'll have to sit down and see how they work in game.
Hope you incluye rome2 cities also
Cool thing about formation attack, but my question, if the attila version of shieldwall will be used still stands^^
And woot woot, a proper cursus honorum would be awesome!
Best regards

In all honesty I am against the use of most formations and abilities because they just aren't needed. Exceptions include all types of testudo, flying wedge, squares, shield and spear walls, frenzy and rally. Even then I never tend to actually use any of those formations in battles (though with Attila formations working better and not forcing you into really deep formations that dont work for large units, then it might actually be worth it.)
In reference to this, the Rome II AE mod gives hastati: testudo, shieldwall, formation attack, hollow square.

Excuse my stupidity, but didnīt you just count pretty much every single formation ability as exception? Will they be included or not?
Also will formation depth have any influence on combat performance?
