    Default Frosty's Tournament Coverage

Here is where I shall post updates about the Tag-Team Tournaments, sort of like a public blog or a news paper style thread.

It shall follow my personal experiences in the tournament as well as interesting things going on for others, it shall be in blog-style for the most part as of now but there is a good possibility that shall change, I hope you all enjoy.

Hello there readers and hotseaters! This is the first entry about the 2nd Westeros Tag-Team Tournament in which myself and Blue1924 are partners and the future winners (playing Houses Mudd and Lannister respectively.) This is a tournament using the Kings of Rivers and Hills submod by Dux and his team of extraordinary gentleman. There are three teams, including our glorious partnership, said teams are; Mudd and Lannister, Gardener and Yronwood, Arryn and Stormkings.Today I returned home from practice to a few Skype messages that sent me into a flurry of activity, the ones that shall be mentioned were from Blue about this tournament saying it was live and that we were up! It's game time. I initiated my honored hotseat rituals, changing into comfy clothes and making a cup of coffee before starting a Skype call to discuss how to best slaughter our enemies...

Hello again everybody, turn 2 arrived at my doorstep last night after quite a long day. Following copious amounts of coffee I played my turn, realizing that, yes, this is going to be exactly as hard as I imagined it would be! Nothing to report really from the other games and players, not much has happened as of turn 2 or at least has not been posted about, stay tuned for some soon-to-be exciting news of slaughter and lethal tactics!

I'm back for a bit more posting! Since my last post the tournament has kick-started in the Third Age section with a 2v2v2 and a 2v2 respectively, now I don't know too much about Third Age hotseating but it's looking like the bracket over there is going to get very exciting indeed! With a few familiar faces to me I can definitely say that the tourney over there is going to shape up nicely.

Back in the Westeros section where yours truly is battling for fame and glory there has been a big turn for my team, I can't say much more now without giving anything away to my enemies. Not an insane amount has happened in the other quarterfinals but that'll come with time, I believe my bracket is the farthest ahead at the moment.

    Stay tuned for more!

Hello readers and hotseaters! Big turn today, took the gamble, this is going to pan out with either me killing House Arryn's faction leader or half of my armies being crushed my partner and I are taking land and exceeding expectations apparently, beware the youngbloods! Since my last post the SS aspect of the tourney has begun! Don't believe any turns have been played but I am prepared for some action packed turns from them, all is quiet in the Third Age forums regarding the tournament. Westeros steals the show again it seems, have been in contact with some players to ask about their respective hotseats but haven't heard much back, once I do I shall let you all know! Hopefully next time I write here it will be with tidings of victory and not defeat, wish me luck!

The day may come, when the courage of men fails and we forsake our friends and break all bounds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields as the age of men is about to come crashing down, but it is not this day!

    This day we fight!

    Westeros
Hey guys! Ton of stuff has happened since I last posted, sorry for the lateness, was going to last night but just didn't have the energy. In the 2nd Quarterfinal in Westreros JCdestr0yer has finally gotten a new partner that was sorely needed! Hopefully his partner, House Arryn, is now in capable hands because things don't seem to be looking too bright for the team, with the Stormking dead and his lands being attacked on all sides, I wish them both luck! In the 1st Quarterfinal of Westeros Jadli and co. have been giving the defending champs, Ice and Ramsay, a run for their money, with some smart maneuvering to bypass a fort wall that resulted in the death of many reachmen! And finally we come to the 3rd Quarterfinal in Westeros, from which I bring you dark tidings indeed.. remember my posting I was going to gamble? The gamble has failed folks, the elite troops of the Vale have smashed a Mudd force outnumbering them by almost a thousand men, I tip my hat to the warriors of the vale. All is not lost, but most is, I shall have to look toward defense now and just hope I find an opening that I can revenge my men on.

    Third Age
The silence from Middle Earth is troubling. Dark times are brewing.

    Main (SS)
Europe is calling her men to arms, the armies are gathering, sharpening swords and axes, oiling mail, marching to war.
Turns are being played and the SS semi is picking up speed, tis only a matter of time.

In the meantime I'll be in the Tavern! Come and have a drink with me, I'll save you a spot.

(I highly recommend the Valar Morghulis)

I have returned! Sorry it's taken so long, I get chronic migraines and they were returning with a vengeance, couldn't look at the screen long enough to type something bulkier than a paragraph!

    Westeros
    Let's begin in my homeland as usual;
    - In the
1st Quarterfinal things are looking very good indeed for Jadli and Korpskog, they have killed the King of the Reach! Things are looking very dire for their foes though Stormking and Arryn aren't doing too shabby either, Ice and Ramsay definitely have their work cut out for them if they wish to win.
    - The
2nd Quarterfinal is looking much the same as usual, will anyone be able to stop Ape and Themzr on their rampage across Westeros?
    - Over at the
3rd Quarterfinal things are shaping up to be the closest match-up yet with Stormking/Arryn combo coming out on top I believe, just killing my(Mudd's) king and smashing an Yronwood fleet, though we shall give them a run for their money! Gardener is having trouble from us and I'll hold on by my fingertips if need be.

    Main (SS)
Big things happening here! Turn 3 and Poland's capital has already been lost to the fearsome duo of the Pony Lord and the Doctor! They have also smashed a Novgorodian force. It is looking very dire for the other teams, I wish them luck in fighting back the Warlords.

    Third Age
Still quiet in Middle Earth other than a couple of skirmishes in the 2v2v2, the silence is all-encompassing, just waiting for someone to break it and cause all sorts of chaos to break out and plunge the realm into war and strife.

    Back to the
tavern I go! Come and relax with me, have a drink!

Hello Hotseaters! Tournaments have been picking up speed, hopefully I'll be able to post more often on them soon

Let's get straight into it -

    Westeros

Quarterfinal 1- Korpskog and Jadli continue their conquest, taking Highgarden and smashing the Stormkings in the Crownlands, besieging Rosby, Duskendale, and Rook's Rest after smashing a Stormking host, will nobody be able to stop the bloodthirsty duo?

Quarterfinal 2 - There has been a hiccup in the action due to a rule violation in this Quarterfinal but it has been dealt with and Themzr along with the Monkey continue their rampage, besieging the Eyrie and Runestone!

Quarterfinal 3 - Yronwood has exploded from the south and has seemingly set a nasty trap for the Stormkings, forcing Luume to choose either his Prince or his armies, elsewhere things continue much the same..

    Main (SS)

Things have settled down in the Main Section of the Tournament but that is due to the Warlord being temporarily out of action, I trust things to pick up soon and much blood to be spilt.

    Third Age

Quarterfinal 1 (2v2v2)- It seems the Butterwell Brothers have struck! Taking down an army of Gondor and alluding to a risk taken with potential for big plays, not much else has happened in the intermission between this and my last post.

Quarterfinal 2 (2v2)- The silence continues.

Hello all! Been a while! Quite a lot longer than I had thought, sorry!

    Right into it!

    Westeros

Quarterfinal 1 - Jadli continues his slaughter of everything that moves by slaying the Stormking and killing everything in sight! Ice has definitely been putting up a brave fight against him though, taking quite a few settlements of the dying Stormlanders in addition to reclaiming some of his territory! This Hotseat has been slowed down a bit due to some rule breaking/bending and I hope to see it back on track soon!

Quarterfinal 2 - The King of the reach has been killed! The Eyrie has fallen! The hotseat has ended with Ape and Themzr declared undisputed victors! I think nobody is surprised by this one based on how it's been going but I take my hat off to JcDestr0yer for fighting solo almost the entire time against the Tyrants, who shall face them in the Semis?

Quarterfinal 3 - Still a stalemate in the Riverlands, it has turned into quite the cold war with the advantage lying with Luume and Proto. Prince Martyn has been defeated in the south, not dead but certainly battered. Then Blue and I pulled out a huge turn and smashed 1.5 of Guy's stacks completely, not a soul survived to tell the tale and they are at Highgarden's doorstep. River and Guy have been pressuring Luume in the East, besieging Storm's End, the next turn shall be a big one indeed..

    Third Age

Quarterfinal 1 (2v2v2) - Big things have started to happen in Middle Earth! Settlements being taken on all sides, Arrow giving the other players some great motivation to continue, Adanadhel killing Narsil's Faction Heir slaughtered followed by a relentless push into Rhu's lands!

Quarterfinal 2 (2v2) - Still quit here, nothing much to report.

    Main (SS)

Going through a quiet spell, the Doctor and the Warlord continue to spread fear and sadness across all opponents, defeating kings and taking settlements.

Salutations! I hope you are ready for some updating! You know the drill by now

    Westeros

Quarter Final 1 - Ice has made some risky moves besieged both Highgarden and Storm's End! The rest continues much as before!

Quarter Final 3 - Captain Humfrey has died! No hope left for any of us.. On a serious note Guy has lost his Prince Martyn to the Blue and I! He besieged Lannisport thinking the Lion would leave it's den without defenses. The widows of the Reach can attest to their wrongness.

    Third Age

Quarter Final 1 (2v2v2) - A ship was sank by the Butterwell Brothers and Istvan was defeated by the mighty Dragon, otherwise naught has happened.

Quarter Final 2 (2v2) - Kas Shafra falls to Joe. Middle Earth is gearing up for battle, hopefully some forces shall chance across eachother soon.

    Main (SS)

Riga has been taken! The Teutonic order has fallen! Just kidding, that's not their capital, there was confusion as to if Poland and the Teutons were out of the game but Dux saved the day and breathed life back into the beleaguered pair! They still have hope though I hear a *clip-clop* in the distance...

    * clears out cobwebs*

Hello there everyone! I'm pretty inconsistent with these aren't I? I'll try to work on that

    Let's get right into it.

    Westeros

All Quarterfinals have ended and the Semi-Finals have begun. Riverknight and Guy managed to wrap things up nicely in the 3rd Quarterfinal, defeating myself and the other contenders in what I believe was the closest match of the Quarters.

Silenced Ape and Themzr won a crushing victory in their Quarter and Jadli/Korpskog pulled out a win over Ice Eyes and others.

Now, who shall prevail in this Clash of Westerosi Titans? They have proven themselves once already but that won't be enough to be crowned champions. There is still a long road ahead of them.

    Main(SS)

More than 2/3 of the way done and Poland and the Teutons have been knocked out of the Tourney, I tip my hat to those players, they have a positively intimidating match-up! Also half of Lithuania has fallen to Mithridate, though at no small cost, there are quite a few new Hungarian Widows to attest to the Lithuanians staunch defense..

    Third Age

QF 1 (2v2v2) - Things are beginning to pick up, Gondor has been going on the aggressive and has made some good advances, leaving burnt villages and bodies in their wake. Though the HS has hit a couple snags due to players disappearing *wink wink* if anyone wishes to fill some spots that will be much appreciated, though speak with JWANT first to be sure.

QF 2 (2v2) - This HS is also in need of new blood to help it continue, *Ranger* is on his own amongst a sea of enemies and it is starting to tell, (contact Dux if interested) the hotseat seems to be steadily continuing and Gondor/Rohan alliance is picking up steam in this HS as well..
