"Yes I do know why he believed that. He believed there was an army just waiting to march in from the Gold Road and left Lord Crakehall and myself there while he did not press an advantage. After my men reported a safe route to Riverrun, I believed our war against the Riverlands would have ended with the Tully's keep taken. Of course the host that had been at Pinkmaiden had recently left the castle and went to Nunn's Deep. When I arrived at Riverrun, the Stormlands host had been defeated and the Riverlands host had returned semi-victoriously to Riverrun. I say that last part because your father surrendered after winning one battle, then hearing Lord Crakehall had left Deep Den to take an undefended King's Landing. Since he had not received reports from Deep Den, he probably assumed that I had gone with Crakehall." After saying this he turns to the attending lords and ask "If any of you had been in my position, with an army numbering over 10,000, reports of no hostile armies to an enemy capitol, and yourself and your men sitting in a castle waiting for an army that would never come; would you not want to end the war in the quickest way possible?"

"We did." said a voice from beside Leofric as a hand came to rest heavily on his shoulder, "I doubt our new Lord up there will soon allow us another under the prevailing circumstances."

"Your father was not wise in the ways of war, my Lord Tyrek," said Harmund, adding his bit to the discussion on the poor prosecution of the war, "I sat in his councils at Goldentooth as he dithered and delayed, forever seeing threats and doom beyond the mountains of our homeland. Lord Reyne speaks the truth: he believed enemy armies lay along every road, across every river, massed around every keep."

Tyrek nodded slightly as he listened, staring into space while absorbing all the information. He knew his father was not apt but there were other things Tyrek knew he had to establish, Very well, there are other things I have to ask but first I must clear up. I will not hold these actions as treason of course, however my fathers response was meant. Let it be known, Lord Reyne you are in good standing as of now in the eyes of House Lannister and therefore all of the Westerland. However let it also be known that regardless of the circumstance, no matter what the scenario, no man shall ever march on Casterly Rock or any Westerland house without consequence ever again. I owe a penance that needed to be made from my father and for that, Lord Reyne, all is forgiven with expectation that relations between our houses be as they were. Tyrek spoke firmly but not overly loud. He knew he needed to be decisive but he could not come down harshly. But to ignore the march completely would be to invite ill thoughts throughout his Lords. Next, our presence in Kings Landing and the royal court is non-existent. We need a presence there immediately lest we be taken advantage of. A cousin of mine will be joining their Whitecloaks butt we need better. Lord Lefford, I had hoped you or one of your kin would be up for the task. Leofric Clegane, I have been told distinguished himself in battle. He is now my sworn sword and a captain of my men, Clegane have you yet been knighted?

His head swimming, Clegane gave the only response he had. "No, mi'lord. Never been knighted."

OOC- Poach, Narsils- I'm hoping you guys respond when you can, this is good for plot building RP and establishing the dynamic of the Westerlands.

IC- Then I shall rectify that after this meeting, I also have some other matters I think you may be interested in handling for me. I think you may be the best for the job, but we can discuss that tomorrow.

"I know he did a good job searching for me and all what he did in the Riverlands is more than what the majority of us did in the war. He's earned it."

Further into the feast when the other lords are getting into small conversations in there areas. "My lord, as it has been almost 4 years since last I've set eyes upon them, I must inquire upon the state of my children, Lanna and Jaimie, and the state of our home of Castamere."

Tyrek smiled slightly and placed his hand on the table. They are playing with some cousins of mine in the courtyard. Under quite a guard to ensure everyines safety. Actually, if you would like to tuck them to bed tonight I am sure they would love that. As for Castamere, I have already bankrolled the replantation of the fields that were sucked dry while the army sat. The army did not harm the homes and or Castamere itself. Even my fathers intent was more to starve your forces of supplies. If there are any other matters you would like assistance with please feel free to come to me.
Tyren turned to his head to Lord Lefford,
Will your house do ours the honor of representing the Westerlands in Kings landing?

"I think they're getting a bit old for tucking in, but I will go see them later. Thank you for doing so My Lord, at least the men will have homes to return to."

"Aye" Clegane responded, before taking another massive bite out of a turkey leg. He had already thrown one bone to Dog under the table. He wondered what it would mean to become a knight.

"I shall send my son and heir to the city," said Harmund with a nod, "the Westerlands must re-establish its preeminence in Westeros."

At the feasts end, Tyrek realized that Clegane was too inebriated to have the conversations Tyrek wished to. He decided it could wait until morning and sent Clegane off with an escort to show him his quarters. Tyrek himself saw Reyne to his children and gave them privacy to speak. Tyren Lannister asked Lord Lefford (and his heir if present) to accompany him to his quarters because Tyrek wished to speak with him. When Tyrek arrived he took a deep breath and asked bluntly, “Are there any issues House Lefford has with my fathers actions, or with House Lannister, that I should know of?”

OOC- The majority of important RP has been dealt with. The remaining could be good RP relationship building Poach. Ponti and Narsils, post anything you would like concerning the following day in my home thread so that we may move archive this asap. I would like to speak with Clegane about some things for sure, and if Reyne would like anything else this would be a good time to do so

"On a personal level... no, my Lord," said Harmund as he took a seat, "We were never impacted by your father's misdeeds. It is to House Reyne and House Crakehall that the olive branch of peace must be extended, and in that I offer whatever support you would wish from Goldentooth."

Tyrek Lannister took a deep breath and sigh before sitting down. He tapped on the desk a couple times and finally looked up at Tyren with a nod.
Tyren Lannister elaborated, A lot must be done Lord Lefford, to undo my fathers damage. Some of it to be sure cannot be fixed. Our House has long trusted House Lefford and counted it as one of our principal vassal houses. It is the reason I ask your house before all else to represent us in Kings Landing. Our relationship with the Reynes will be what it will be, but we wished to ensure things between our families were not badly injured.
Tyrek Lannister spoke up now, which caused his brother to take silent,
The realm thinks House Lannister owes it and this simply is not so. I walk a delicate line between firm and forgiving these days as those we have "wronged" continue to surface. I am no fool but even wise men seek counsel at times. May I seek that counsel and get honest words from you Lord Lefford?

"Of course, of course..." said Harmund.

"I'll go to the city," said Raymar, "I'll find out what the political landscape looks like and build what influence I can."

Lord Reyne found Merrek while he was on a walk with his brother. Merrek was mid sentence when the man approached them. He had only met Lord Reyne on occasions such as this one but had a good opinion about the man. "Hello Lord Reyne , how do you fare today?"

"Hello Lord Serrett, with the conflicts of the past behind us, today is well. Now that I have found you, I would like to ask if you would like to continue the trade that we had, but was interrupted after Castamere was taken? The gold we mine helps us, but we need silver from the Silverhills to help get us back on our feet."
