They both come from Weta's concepts. Film version of course should be included as well.

These units look really cool I can see the hobbit movie influence, I am exited to see more units and the sorts of weapons they will have aswell. I also have a question though, will you guys be making a version of the Athala rangers from TATW? those units looked absolutely amazing.

I dont even know what the unit it is lol.
In any case it was said, we use only Weta concepts. We don't care how units look in other games, mods.
We have 2d artist who draw concepts in our team in addition if Weta concepts not enough.

Oh well the Athala rangers are basically Dunedain rangers from mirkwood and Dale, and they wear darker black and brown leather and a bit of chainmail. But not using any other mods units makes sense too. thanks again for a quick reply.

Oh sry but dunedain rangers live only in arnor and gondor. No dale or mirkwood. Maybe a bit Rivendell.

It's true, but the Athala are not actually Dunedain, they are the remants of the kingdom of Rhovanion which was destroyed by the wainriders.

This is the Third age Total War description of them, just as some background information if you were wondering:

Okay nice idea then if they are not dunedain and remmants of Rhovanion. Will think about it.
