Hey I just wanted to let you know for the announcement banner you have a female orc sorceress assassin lady, which do not exist in Warhammer fantasy. Thanks and GOD bless and good luck with your competition!

I've moved your post here because the submissions thread is only for submissions as the title says

The purpose of the female orc is not relating to Warhammer itself. Basically, since I'm trying to promote the GW competitions, I make the promotional banners with a kind of pin up (I wrote "kind" because I'm not sure a female orc would be a pin up actually ). As far as I know (but I'm not a specialist) there's no female orc character in Warhammer (I couldn't find any). What's why I disgressed a bit
Anyway, as this is not a submission, it doesn't really matter (I hope) and I haven't made the same "mistake" twice for my submission which only contains characters from Total War: Warhammer

I heard something about you guys wanting to redo the Warhammer contest? That would be fine. Maybe something warrior related, make it a period piece if you will.

Imo you should extend the vote period and advertise it more for example post and article where you kindly ask people to vote. The compeditors made submissions for the competition and the management should get the competition properly finished.

Competitors of the GW comp. #226 have been informed of the current situation. Regarding extending the vote period, I'm not sure it can be done once the poll has been made.
We're trying to get a "special" reward for the winner if we re-do that comp. It takes a bit of time and I'm sorry about that
Finally, I'm not sure it would be good to limit the theme to only Warhammer warriors as we try to keep the theme as open as possible

I think so but I'm not sure. I've asked y2day but he came back with the idea to re-do the comp with a better reward. He's currently on that "reward stuff". But he's also busy with RL and that's why it takes a bit of time.

I'm planning to re-start the GW comps from next September.
Any theme suggestions you'd like to see for these comps?

To start the discussion, here are a few suggestions:
- Chimera (mix between animals and why not human being)
- Warhammer Mythology or Mystic Creatures
- Medieval Dark Ages (relating to Attila period)

The GW comp. will end next Monday and so far only 2 submissions (y2day and myself). That's not especially encouraging. I think that I'll run them until the end of this year but if there's still a lack of submissions and of votes for these competitions, I'll just stop it. It's quite time consuming and the result doesn't worth it.

This being said, what about "Best 2016 TV Series" as theme for the GW comp #228? Basically, the idea is to make a "promotional" banner for your favorite TV series.

Any comment?

Not sure if I'm able to deliver a piece of work within this weekend, would love to participate though.

And please people join the competitions, personally for a while now the GC has been like the only reason for opening photoshop besides modding. If we let it die, what do I do then?

My suggestion for the GC theme: "Politics"/"Power". The presidential elections of the U.S. is already occupying our minds, could be a source of inspiration for graphics as well.

If there's no other submission other the week-end, I might extend the submission period for a week. The idea is to get 3 submissions minimum to run the vote. The more the better anyway

Due to the high level of participation (only 1 submission), the GW Competition #228 has been canceled. There won't be any GW Comp. until further notice

I guess that the whole GW Competition principle needs to be reviewed
