"Disenfranchised-disowned" sounds more like a lame excuse than anything. The threat comes from violent religious people who want to destroy Tunisia's economy and culture and the perspectives of young Tunisians with it, in order to facilitate the spread of their sick ideology.

This would be relevant if the terrorists here were communists or something; I highly doubt that. I don't think these people were murdered on a beach because they were showing off their wealth and affluence while on holiday away from the UK, Germany, Belgium, etc. I think they were murdered on a beach because they were half-naked infidels who showed skin and thus offended the terrorists who want everyone to be covered from head to toe. Showing skin, even on a beach with swimwear, is a great blasphemy and shall not be tolerated in Islamic lands.



That said, I do hope Tunisia is able to stay afloat should more tourists think of going elsewhere, because (as the article states) 15% of their entire GDP relies on tourism! A total of 473,000 people are employed in Tunisia due to tourism. Imagine if all those people lost their jobs because the tourist industry sank into the toilet? Truly, the Islamic terrorists (who are probably coming from neighboring chaotic Libya) are trying to stab at the heart of Tunisia's economy.

If they can do that and kill some half-naked Western infidels and non-Muslims at the same time, then it's like killing two birds with one stone.
