Menu and text corruption

Does anyone know how to fix the nasty menu and text corruption that happens randomly? Alt-tabbing out to turn off catalyst A.I in the ATI tray tools sometimes fixes it but not always. Anyone know a fix as of yet? Cheers.

Specs...

AMD 64 3000 + AC64 Pro HSF
MSI K8N Neo Platinum nForce3 (latest drivers)
Kingston value 1024MB DDR 400 RAM
ATI Color3D X850 Pro 256MB AGP
Audigy 2 vanilla soundcard
Windows XP Pro + SP2 + DX 9.0c October (August?)

If you are seeing illegible or distorted text in Medieval 2 and you are using an ATi video card, you should try to toggle Catalyst A.I. in your Catalyst Control Centre.

To do this:

- Right-click on your desktop
- Choose Catalyst Control Centre from the menu that appears

The exact location of the Catalyst A.I. tick-box will vary depending on which version of the Catalyst Control Centre you are using. It can usually be found within the 3D options. If Catalyst A.I. is on, please turn it off. It it is off, please turn it on.

My text works on main menu but on the campagn map it is messed up

You put a ATI card on a Nvidia board, strange combo. uninstall all ati drivers and try again.

a nvidia board? It's just the chipset made by nvidia. AFAIK it is not bias to one GPU brand or the other. lol no I will not spend all night reinstalling my drivers cos I've had the problem before I formatted the other day.

I had the exact same problem on my ATI card; to fix it, turn CATALYST AI to "standard" instead of "advanced". That's what fixed it permanently for me.
