Why not use the IB soundmod? That's what I'm using in IBUR.

As much as I love Gregorian Chant (and other kinds like Byzantine, etc.) I don't think it fits all too well with the Roman period.

Short of heavy metal, how about some music with some actual power and some balls? You know, things that actually put you in the mood to fight, that gets your blood pumping, hairs raised on the back of your neck, all that good stuff. For that, the album "Chronicles" from the music company Audiomachine would be good, as would songs from the music company X-Ray Dog. To be honest, I've modded the music for EB II and put all these songs into the game, and I have to say, it makes EB II kick so much more ass. Although their campaign map and menu music is legendary, the battle-map melee music for EB II is particularly bland and flaccid. As for what you are about to hear below, this is the sort of music you need in war, gentlemen. You know, music that was seemingly composed by someone who owns a pair of testicles, large ones.

These songs would be perfect for melee fights on the battle map (close your eyes, crank the volume, and imagine a sword coming at you, so you better fight back, or you're ing dead):

These ones below would probably be better for mobilization phases on the battlefield, when your army is on the march (open the spoiler tag for a whole bunch of them):

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

As for X-Ray Dog, they have stuff like this that would also be great for the battlefield (song is called "Here Comes the King"):

In general, music meant for movies is usually the best you can have for video games. It's a shame you guys can't just hire Jeff Van Dyck, the guy who composed the songs for RTW and Medieval II.

All this music is available on that bay controlled by pirates, if you know what I mean.

March of the Spartans is very good. I Love the second one but the beginning of it is a bit distracting
    Thank You Marc

I like this song. Not sure if or where it could be used. Kind of a haunting feel to it.
