    Default Less Crazy Rivalry for Hordes!

    Hello ppl!

    I'm very happy I finally got this mod working
    It's been very long time since 1st time I was trying to figure out how to.

    Not about How to remove (that we figured out much earlier), but How to balance/reduce.
    Problem was there are much entries about this thing, thou most of them doesnt change any in game values..

    But I gotta tell it was so much easier than we thought.
    Also I believe that I owe thanks for all people helped me with their ideas (sharing or modding) about this matter.

    If I must say their nick names:
    1stly Murderin, 2ndly Radious and 3rd Metal_Izanagi

    So what the new values are* ;

    Click to view content:
    Easy and Normal* difficulties;

    • %-4 Wealth from Buildings,
    • 4 Food consumption for Each horde.

    *Normal must be same with Easy, as there is no entries for it in data files.

    Hard and Very Hard* difficulties;

    • %-8 Wealth from Buildings,
    • 8 Food consumption for Each horde.

    *They both exist in data files, so I could make them different, but I preferred not to, since Vanilla values are same too.

    Legendary difficulty;

    • %-14 Wealth from Buildings,
    • 14 Food consumption for Each horde.

    So yeah Legendary stays as "Legendary", but if u want less, it's easy stuff.

    Download

    *Will start working after hitting the End turn button.

    Thanks!

    Being a fan of the horde system myself, i've been looking for a mod like that for a while now!

    Sadly it doesn't seem to work for me... Indeed, i still have the vanilla -10% wealth and -10 food debuff (results are the same with or without other mods activated)

    If anyone could confirm that the problem doesn't come from me... That would be great!

    Btw do you know if there is any way to change the nature of the debuff to balance it better? I mean switch from wealth and food malus to something else?

    Do you plan to release a version with completely removed rivalry ? Though it's not really balanced, it could be fun to be a fearsome horde that attack a settlement with more than one army, if you know what i mean...

    Yea I know a lot ppl have been looking for this, including me of course.. And you are welcome

    And well interesting that it doesnt work for you, since it does for me (i tried easy,hard,very hard and legendary), and for save games after the End turn it will start to work

    Just there is some visual problem on it, like if u have 5 hordes in same place, u will get -%40 wealth and +40 food consumption (hard and v-hard), but it shows like -%32 wealth and +32 f.c (Food info at the top will show the real value thou!)

    Hmm well most likely that's possible but it's realistic to have reduce food and wealth I believe (just it's range a bit big) and well I wouldnt want to deal with it tbh since I already given too much time into this and I'm not sure if i can either..

    Here, #6th post, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...lry-for-Hordes

    Be careful thou, if u have any mod that changes (not adds, if that's the case no problem ) effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions table and effects_table

    First i'd like to thank you for answering my questions.

    Well, i tried your mod again today on a new grand campaign, i waited 5 turns, but no matter what the difficulty setting is, i still have the vanilla debuff on my army and the same value on my food recap.

    So i guess it's really not working for me, if someone could confirm that, it would be cool!

    That said, i managed to create something closer to my needs by following your advices and the informations given by Murderin in the topic you gave me.

    Thank you SharpEyed

    Last thing that might be the reason, go to C:\Users\User name\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Attila\scripts and check if this mod included in, written as: mod "less_crazy_rivalry.pack"; and if not, copy paste and now it will work I believe

    And well good u managed to do something

    Seems like it should be working well with the new game version

    For "Last Roman" dlc: Idk where the rivalry values are yet. But not on the same place, that's for sure.

    Yea and rivalry is annoying in the expedition. Competition for food I can understand but loosing integrity ? I don't get it . It would be more likely to give a sense of security to have another army nearby. Less reason to bail.

    yea well in that case you need to build integrity buildings for all, or keep winning battles, or last resort: decimation

    actually there is 1 more way, putting them in different regions but beside each other: borders of regions
    1 to right 1 to left (or above and below)

    btw that victory bonus doesnt stay for long, thats why I increased its durability in my overhaul
    and I hope soon I'll be continuing to "Building overhaul" and lower some crazy integrity/food penalties of buildings, so if you like you can take that part of the overhaul
