Out of curiosity what are some of the units you will be using?
Mmm interesting so long the battles are workable the game is near completion for me. Any plans for campaign script or just default at the moment?
Damn I wish I could see more screenshots of the battles Ed_Space has posted five isn't enough .
note: its nice to see some activity after the pre-alpha release, it means the team had put (some of) their priorities towards PR since their major objective is completed or close to completion.
suggestion: is it alright for the team to create a twitter account and let your team members screenshot a few units/map/etc for the game like EB did so fans can constantly look at your progress? (just screen shots and less than 140 characters description) It generates lots of interest towards EB2 due to their usage of twitter, despite a quite forum.

Keep it up, guys. There are many more fans out here than u know! It's just the waiting that kept us quiet. But we do appreciate your work and still await this amazing work to be completed.
Amazing news!! Bellum Crucis 7 has some really nice and historical looking units but as far as I know they are not willing/able to share them because of some internal restriction on their Italian forum (MTW Italia). The next release will focus on units, we are currently drafting in all the best looking and most historical looking units we can find. There will still be a few issues, like some units not looking like the right era sometimes, but overall the game will be much more fun and most of all battles will start to feel like they should. I hope we can get all the faction banners right for the battles too. We are also coding the area of recruitment so the campaign should flow better, and buildings will be in the right places- no more 'Greenland Colony' option in Denmark! I'm also trying to get a few surprises added in but it is too soon to talk about them yet, I am also hoping for a small aesthetic refresh like an updated intro video etc. If anyone has some photoshop skills and would like to help us with a new splashscreen/loadingscreen or two please PM me. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT GUYS, IT MEANS A LOT!!!!

I think they got the units already, but they just need to implement those units into the game and try to make it work without crashing during a battle. Still asking BC team for unit cards/models would be a great idea.
Note: speaking about bugs, what kind of bugs are common atm for Dots?

Bellum Crucis have a no sharing policy on their units, unfortunately. They are one of the few mods we don't have any historical cooperation with. Lots of faction unique mods have worked with us (or started as part of DotS) since the beginning sharing research and resources such as Real Horses Project, Magyar Mod, CBUR, Lithuania/Baltic mod, Bulgaria Mod, Templars mod.... the list goes on. So we are providing the best range of units we can.
Bugs... well the nature of bugs is often that you don't know where they are going to come from or why, hence being bugs! But it's mainly due to the sheer size and depth of the game to be basic about it. This is why we decided to release a very basic pre-alpha and re-add all our work step by step, layer by layer and test as we go along. It's like living in the Matrix... except without the cool goth girls in PVC catsuits.
Oh thats unfortunate, atleast you had co-operation with other mod devs before tbh it is a never-ending task to assemble all the historically accurate units due to the length it needs to research or balancing issues involved during battles, its best to keep the range of units balancing out each other to make the game a fair play instead.
Well sounds like the game had achieved a level where it is playable (according to Ed_Space) does it applies to all factions or just specific faction for being playable? Btw how big is the mod, from my memory it was around 9GB am I right?

Speaking of which, if buildings creates some revenue (but not many) does that mean most of the revenue will come from PSFs for your faction? Also I had used process_cq and add_money to check the units, seems like there are a-few units around and their maintenance is expensive (3000+ per turn) especially the ones with horses is it done it on purpose to increase historical accuracy?
Also is there any public order penalty if you conquer a main settlement whilst the rest of its associated region are controlled by another faction? Since this would really make things challenging.
note: hows gameplay btw? Did you managed to conquered Wales? If so pls screenshot it for celebrations .

i can answer this one
major public order and income penalty if i am not wrong either way it's really not adivisableAlso is there any public order penalty if you conquer a main settlement whilst the rest of its associated region are controlled by another faction? Since this would really make things challenging.
Karaislam is creating great units for submod for broken crescent, u can ask him for permision. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...3#post14530923
Also i think u can aks permision for those units also, there are many that could be used for this great mod . http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...he-Mod-Team%29
They are very good questions but I can't personally answer them sorry as they aren't my specialisation.
No! I gave up on trying to conquer Wales as it was going to be a huge job! It is probably possible but as it was going to be such a huge effort I didn't do it. I've been testing other factions. Recently I've been testing as the Fatimids and exploring Africa and the Sahara desert.
As far as I know we aren't planning any changes to that at the moment.

Is it possible to forward my question to specific members of the development team? Since it would be really imbalanced if one faction failed to have enough PSFs to sustain their armies whilst others can spam lots and lots of troops via PSFs.
Also public order is kinda important since IRL if the surrounding areas of the region is still in the hands of the enemy whilst you only conquer the regional capital, it would be better for you if you not conquer the regional capital in the first place due to public order penalties.
note: hows your playtesting going, did you lose lots of movement points from exploring africa and Sahara desert? How are the bugs? and how many turns do you play for each faction before proceeding to the next faction for playtest.

Not happening, ever, the Italian mtw2 modding is on the decline too, so they are holding on to their units keeping them only for BC so they can at least attract what's left of the modders in the Italian forum to their project. At least that's how Mr crow put it, could be wrong.
