    Default MTW2 Regnum Dei All Factions v1.0f

    Install:

    copy / paste the descr_campaign file in here Ex: D:\Games\MTW2\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    Back up the old one. Enjoy.

    Modifications:

    -Starting date is 1054 and ending date 1630 (covers the need for more time).
    -All factions playable except the unfinished ones by CA (that will give CTDs or miss buildings & units).
    -1 year = 2 turns (seasons) - turns system and we need future testing to fully transfer to years. All the scripting is done on turn numbers and not years (thats why).
    -Wallachian regions a bit stronger (+4 spear) most independent region
    -Spanish Armies a bit stronger (+4 Spear)
    -Papal States playable - However it is still WIP.

    Yes - they can be made playable more easily than the Aztecs because they actually are fully functional as a faction... just that they are heavily scripted and need to be unlocked and introduced on the map. The Aztecs are partially scripted because I suspect that they have no buildings (just one) and more or less they are a sheep to be killed at ease.

    I do hope Spartan will take a longer time to check those files until someone manages to unpack the data archives.

    As for the rebel troop modifications we did in the RDM mod - well we didn't wanted to mess with CA's balance too much but by adding a bit more rebel strength in Moldavia and wallachia we managed to hold Hungary and Poland a bit longer in their expansion so Russia was able to develop. Still Hungary will conquer wallahia and Poland Moldavia. Clearly more historical since they actually sent expeditions to do just that. Spain also has a larger chance to avoid being crushed by Portugal.

    Btw - we keep 2 seasons per year / 2 turns = 1 year because otherwise we feel that the campaign goes too fast.

    As for the starting date 1054 - that was the year of the major split between the Catholic Church and the orthodox one.

    I do expect on Sunday TTO to release an Ottoman campaign scenario that starts right when the Mongols invade and the Byzantine Empire was conquered.

    There is a small problem here - I can't easly upgrade the world to match their power from the start... (*I don't know all the data unit&building names) but I will give you a small village somewere in the rusian wastelands. Same with the Timurids as well. Consider it as the edge of the mongol invasion. A pretty passive community. Until the rest of the troops will arrive more or less as a gift. I will scale down their armies to make sure you don't smash all the europe with ease. CA has made all the initial mongol troops with level 6 armor ... pretty nasty.

    The Otoman Empire Campaign is ready. Because it has 2.4 Mb I will be able to upload it only sunday.

    So anyway - I think I can concentrate now on makeing those two factions work. Btw anyone played the Papal States? I will like some feedback on them. More exact will the pope excomunicate him self? ...etc.

    Might want to give the Timurids a Province in the Middle East, Perhaps Baghdad.

    Completely understandable, I don't care if they start off weak as long as I can play them I'll be happy.

    Done - It took me some work (4 PM - 4 AM) but I made all (ALL) the factions work and that is not because some people say we may have had the copy from months ago - it is just plain simple detective hard work. Just give me some time to make the news and update.

    I worked from 4 PM to 4 AM to do the extensive modifications required to enable all the factions. Now it is up to mighty Spartan to take a shot at the files.

    If my work is good enough I will like if possible a news to be posted on the TWC main page. And someone should post at tw.com I can't access that official site. Damn internet
