    Icon4 Unspecified Error

    Hi,
I recently bought medieval 2 on steam and found this mod. I downloaded it, and dragged all the necesary files into the directory. I could not understand the instructions as per the .reg files. Whenever I try to launch it through steam, it loads the vanilla game. Whenever i use either of the .bat files, it takes me to the mod up until the end of the first loading screen, and then it crashes and says that Medieval 2 has experienced a unspecified error and will now close. How do I fix this?

I just attempted to do this fix
steam users should now install the below files to the_long_road data folder

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=4119

after installing the mod can be run by setting launch options to @The_Long_Road\The_Long_Road.cfg
    or --features.mod=The_Long_Road

** please note that setting the launch options to --features.mod=The_Long_Road will use the default medieval2.preference.cfg and not The_Long_Road.cfg

Whenever i try he .bat file it comes up with a error message saying there has been a fatal error. HELP!

NVM, I've decided to uninstall the mod because it's broken for me.

Try this, but when it says "for king or country" replace with the name of the mod.

Was having the instant crash to desktop from splash screen as some others have been using a steam edition of the game. I used your suggestion Dan and it got me past the splash screen to the game itself and everything loads up. Then it for some reason it all comes in super zoomed in and half the UI is missing. I try to mess with my graphic settings to adjust but to now avail. Any suggestions on how to move forward???

I played the Long Road back in the early days, its a shame that now having to go thru steam I can no longer get this mod to work without a degree in computer engineering lol Appreciate any help anyone can give. Would love to play Medieval TW II again, just not vanilla...
