EDIT: I don't hate the French ^^...I just like making fun of them and making their ancestors look bad compared to mine xD

    Here are some new pics:

The Scottish and English are at war once again...the scots know that they can only survive by using the environment of one of their old castles

Since the main bridge is blocked by the english army the scottish simply use a shallow spot in the river behind the castle

The English become suspicious since they haven't seen any scottish guards in fron of the castle and start searching for them in the nearby area

The scottish know that they have to hurry if they want to evade the english

The scottish scouts found out that the english didn't know about the "back-bridge" and had abandoned their post at the main bridge, too

they crossed the bridge to secure the island

soon after that the infantry followed them to man their posts

the general sent his guard to the 2nd island which was behind the main island to guard the smaller stronghold

but after a while he realised that it was a total waste of manpower to let his cavalry just stand around in front of that castle and he sent them back to the defense line

The scottish archers were placed on the cliffs to the left and the right of the bridge

the pikemen had the task to block the bridge

in the meanwhile the English had found the scottish tracks in the sand of the riverbank and followed them

when they left the water again and came by the archers, they opened fire

when the english tried to hide from the archers in a nearby forest they saw that the wooden bridge was blocked by pikemen and decided to take the long way around the island and across the main bridge

that was pretty hard not to notice and the scottish sent their knights to defend that bridge

the english heard the noise of the knights and knew that the other bridge was well defended now, too...so they decided to charge over the wooden bridge with their whole army without even thinking of the archers who still stood to their left and their right

after a short fight, in which the english lost their general and were only able to kill 5 pikemen, they started to run

but that wasn't the end of the battle...it was only over when even the last of the english was captured

    Is that...

    a) a standard custom map

    b) a campaign battle

...or did you make another brilliant custom map, Prof?

Northern France...the 100 years war is not over yet

The English have taken control over a small French township and regularly send out their knights to search the nearby area for French

Whenever they found some they blocked their way and slaughtered them

At least they were supposed to slaughter them...another scout troop has spottet a French army in the area and so the English sent some dismounted knights to warn the scouts...however...the French found them before they could warn the knights

Their knights have already been ambushed...

    ...and they were slaughtered

The English heavy infantry was sent to help them and to crush the French army...but they didn't expect them to have that much cavalry

the biggest advantage the English had over the French at that point of the battle was their archers...they just slaughtered every approaching enemy

Finally the main part of the English infantry arrived to help their comrades

    a bloody battle had begun

    many were slaughtered

and the English archers could proove themselves worthy of fighting even cavalry

A part of the French army was sent to outflank the English by marching through the village, but there were already Longbowmen blocking the streets with their bows and wooden stakes

    The French manoeuvre had failed

When they saw their comrades outside the township flee they decided to follow them

The biggest hunt in the history of man had begun

    GREAT screens man !

Would you mind if I edited some and used them for sigs ? I'd be very grateful for your permission. Not a pro or anything, and my wn rig is old so I can't really take screens. So what I do is I edit and play with screens I find here, satisfies my eyecandy lust !!!

Hey I have a suggestion if you don't mind: if your rig permits you should turn up the AS it will help remove the few jaggies.
