Have been looking forward to this game a lot, and it certainly has been great fun so far. I've played it for almost a week now, a few hours most days.
Its stupidly difficult at some points though, to the point where it really stops to be fun and just forces you to spam something that works best untill the enemies are dead. Its also very annoying that NPC allies hardly deliver any damage at all, and are at times completely ignored in favor of ganging up on you. And if two or more enemies target you, you are going to take some heavy damage and one of them will be able to disrupt whatever you try to do most of the time.
My other issue is with how vague everything is about what can and cant be done with the game. Supposedly theres offline multiplayer, but does it even extent past the versus thing at the arena? Why not have split screen and let two players take on the parralel quests offline. These are sidequests that you must do to level whenever you run into a boss in the story thats basicly invincible untill you level up further.
With another player this could be more fun to tackle, and I dont see why that should be restricted to online. I dont have a subscription fee.
It's very cool that you can make your own characters, but seems you only get to make more than one once you beat the game.. which is rediculously hard at points. I think I am getting close to the end though, but I just cant handle two equally strong bosses with huge double healthbars being all up in my face. Theres an ally with me but they insist on ignoring him and just keep focusing on me, not really giving me a moment to really do much and if I do an attack they just block it, dodge it, or somehow dont receive much damage.
But yes, character creation is pretty cool. My custom character can even go super saiyan. The initial creation seems to have a nice amount of options, maybe more will be added in time.. currently male Buu's can only be fat for example, while the female buu is slim. Clothing options are slim though, unless you want to wear the exact same thing as existing characters. Some recoloreable outfits are unlocked at a snail's pace as you work your way through the story, but some greater variety would be appreciated here.
Mostly I'm just starting this discussion in hopes of maybe others having some good strategies, more knowledge about offline multiplayer, maybe tips for good skills to use, etc.
