that's what he means by resource. if you wanna use them you gotta add them yourself,
which i did, btw, to some of my custom units, and they look fantastic.

Thanks for the answer Nosis? Is it easy to add them?
it's not too hard. everything i do i figure out through trial and error, so i managed to edit some existing texturearray files to include all of the shields i liked from this awesome resource. the only snag was i had to rename the texturearray file to have the same kind of name as the .dds files
Anyone would be kind enough to explain briefly ,how to make this nice mod functional ,please ?
Or should we wait for a "ready to use" pack from the creator ?
Thanks
Heya NoSiS or anyone else who has used these awesome images, did you have distorted wood grain on medium and small flat shields? Every other shield works great but those two make the pattern wonky. If so do you know of a fix for that?
and Beorix, would love to explain process but im still figuring it out myself
Thanks a lot for your impressive new shields!

So ,nobody can explain clearly what to do ,to have these skins working ?
We are not all modders, then , i don't get the point to post a "released" mod if it's not usable by ALL players ??
Sorry for ranting ,but i just want to use this nice mod !
I wish it was complete as well. The way to get them working isn't too difficult, but it's time consuming. You'd have to use the pack file manager to create a new mod, add the dds files, then add all the units you'd want you reskin with the shields, then make the corresponding text entries referencing the dds files. It requires a decent amount of time and patience, and you need to test the results frequently as it's easy to make mistakes early on.
I've done it a few times in R2TW and it made me want to pull my hair out. It can be time consuming and frustrating. Hopefully the OP will just do it for us. Please, OP.
weeag Do you envisage work on roman shield ?

viking version yet??
Very nice wooden textures, Weeag. Keep in mind that people back then would ideally cover their shields with materials such as linen or rawhide. Exposing the wood on a shield is letting your enemy know where to hack upon the shield to break it. I would also like to say that the covers protect the shield from weather and absorb some of the shock from hits.
Many many thanks man, i was looking for something like this u are awesome
Blast from the past but thanks Weeag. Going to use a few of them for our germanic generals being redone. Will credit you accordingly.
Hi Weeag, I am thinking of using some of your shield designs in a mod for Field of Glory II, I will credit you of course.
