    It is good to see another promising mod by Dresden and his cohorts. I hope to savor this once it is complete. Meanwhile, in DeI, I shall postpone the retirement of my legionaries and the closing of the doors to the temple of Janus.

    I just reinstalled atilla, I would love to see ca patch the game some more, and more fall of the eagles love Very much appreciate everything so far.

    Sadly CA will never patch-optimize Attila. It was a wasted opportunity for them.
    FOTE though, will be resumed at some point AFAIK.

    Question.

    Are units like Ostrogoth cataphracts recruitable? There seem to be a few units available in custom battles that I can't find in any of the building trees in campaign.

    I'm not sure if the specific unit is recruitable, but I know for sure that you'll find many more units inside the grand campaign than in custom battles.

    Thanks. Figured it out. Needed to get a certain branch of research unlocked before they showed up in a few of the building's recruitment lists. Same with a few other units too. Now I just need to find out what I need to gettheroyal super-cataphracts unlocked

    You could actually do that by right clicking on a building so to check what units it will unlock.

    For factions that haven't been reskinned by the current FoTE can we safely use external resking-only mods?

    If they're ONLY reskins then you could use them.

    AFAIK FOTE team was never disbanded. Just busy with other projects.

    I had a dream last night - that this mod was finished and that I could enjoy this fantastic time in history not thinking about the game mechanics, but enjoying the setting and roleplaying through the game (like I do in DEI). I really hope you guys pick it up sometime so that we can enjoy the game as it should be!

    I know it's a lot to ask for, but so much is done already!

    I think Late Antiquity is way more interesting than the period Rome 2 is set in. I know the release of Rome 2 made people gunshy with Attila, and may CA didn't lend the support they could have, but I just seeing the CA blog post about Shieldwall and DEI gives me hope. Even moreso, I think the new DLCs for Rome 2 were driven by their recognition of the DEI playerbase, and my hope is that they give Atilla the nod too.

    Afterall, if Attila didn't sell well with casual people, and sales have probably ran their course barring a Steam sale, why not put out an update that's tailored to the FOTE/EP crowd.

    I hope this mod picks up again. I study this period in university, so if research would help, I'd be happy to chip in.
