Default Arrows Are Arrows! (The siege balancing project)

Hello again! This mod is something that even the likes of Rome....2 has never seen.

As a part of what will eventually become a larger project (or in other words, a main thread with these mini mods listed), I have decreed that the Empire's arrow towers are far too effective!

Arrows are arrows! Regardless of how you swing it. Left, right, straight, or bi-sensually curious, Arrows are simply arrows. Just because they are being shot from a stone window does not mean they become the all mighty jab of God himself! Did you know arrows from a tower do as much damage as a flaming hot pile of rock flying down on you? I didn't either until now.

I have reduced the damage of fort towers by roughly half which should allow them to still kill a few on the way to the walls, but not to the gold standard of a Gatling gun.

    Changes in gameplay:

    • This is mostly meant for my other modification "Walls are Walls!" which is linked towards the bottom. This is since gates now take forever to burn or knock down and I feel like the AI deserves a shot (puns keep popping up in these threads).
    • It should take around two tier 3 units to burn down the gate, but they won't be very fit for battle when those doors fly open.
    • Towers are more for burning siege equipment now. More to the specs of Rome 1.

Note to visitors: I will begin a visual marketing campaign when the workshop opens up.

Thank you. Every since Shogun 2 I've used this type of mod. CA has a crazy fetish with Gatling guns.

Thank you jesus! Please rename this to something along the lines of "nerfs towers" so others can be exposed to this greatness.

A very good and in my opinion vital mod. The expensive Roman unit you spent 800 coin recruiting shouldnt be killed within a minute by a tower in my opinion. Made offensive siege battles extremely costly.
August Strindberg: "There's a view, current at the moment even among quite sensible people, that women, that secondary form of humanity (second to men, the lords and shapers of human civilisation) should in some way become equal with men, or could so be; this is leading to a struggle which is both bizarre and doomed. It's bizarre because a secondary form, by the laws of science, is always going to be a secondary form. Imagine two people, A (a man) and B (a woman). They start to run a race from the same point, C. A (the man) has a speed of, let's say, 100; B (the woman) has a speed of 60. Now, the question is 'Can B ever overtake A?" and the answer is 'Never!'. Whatever training, encouragement or self-denial is applied, the proposition is as impossible as that two parallel lines should ever meet."

Thanks guys. If you like this mod then feel free to check out my other siege related modifications. All of them have a strong focus towards a balance which adds to game play, and I am always looking for constructive criticism.
