Nvidia driver crashes

I've been having a good number of these using my 770gtx sli system and the oculus rift. I've had them rarely before but they are far more frequent with this set up, playing elite dangerous, using max settings, supersampling, and of course the rift.

Yea I'm basically pounding my graphics cards.

But when looking for info on this, I get something that reminds me of folk medicine to fix it. LOTS of posts online about it, I think toms hardware has a 100 or so, and the "fixes" tend to be uninstall drivers completely, which doesn't work it seems, RMA the card, underclock the card, etc.

I'm curious if anyone knows how to isolate this issue. I haven't seen the cards running over temp.

I did some googling and on the nvidia forums they have a good thread which has about 20 different causes. I just got new cards so maybe the issue goes away.

sli+oculus rift...def can foresee that having the odd glitch

p.s i always stick to single gpu although 970 sli is very tempting at some point. hey just out of interest you play world of tanks?

No but I thought about it.

I just SLIed 2 980's, no more driver issues. Two 970's is pretty awesome, I just got greedy, price wise its the best bang for buck by far.

I had crashes with my GTX-660 and also a bug that cuased a prossesing power and memmory power to 100% that caused my pc to stop working.
The 344.48 drivers solved that problem and now i am testing latest 347.25 ones...344.48 proved very stable drivers.

I haven't had any issues since I got the 980's, so my guess is I was just overtaxing my cards.
