    Default Laptop

Hey I got a question. So basically my motherboard on my tower burnt out so Im stuck with this wretched laptop. Now its about five years old now. It used to play Med 2, oblivion and company of heroes pretty good. Now its getting 12 fps on Age of Empires 2. Does anyone know how I would get my performance back? Ive cleaned it of dust though it still gets hot. Any helps much appreciated

No. I havent touched the heat sink or applied thermal paste. Would excess heat make games run slower though?
