    Default [WIP] Fix Pack 1.03b Updated Jan 29

    This is a work in progress fix pack for the next update. It is not yet contained in the main mod. The next update will be awhile as we slowly collect fixes and also work on some of the script issues that users have reported.

    To use this, place it in your data folder and run it before the main mod: http://www.mediafire.com/download/1z...datefix5a.pack

    submods that change the scripting files will cause problems with the fix pack as they are not adapted to the script changes yet.

    Campaign
    - Fixed Global reforms not triggering correctly 29/01/2015
    - Fixed reforms bug where an AI culture shared by the player could trigger global reforms and lock player recruitment.
    - Fixed pre-Marian units being recruitable after Marian reforms.
    - Reduced governor (dignitary) unit upkeep reduction when placed in an army.
    - Decreased attrition bonuses from technology tree/traits to fit new values.
    - Fixed 2 missing Parthian bodyguard options (early and late versions).
    - Fixed Silurean Mercenaries being recruited in wrong area (new campaign only).
    - Removed "Enemy at the Gates" vanilla event due to it being bugged.
    - Fixed non-playable british cultures in Augustus campaign having celtic culture (new campaign only).
    - Fixed CiG Rome not being able to recruit First Cohort.
    - Added Skiritai back to Spartan roster, removed AOR double unit versions.
    - Added client state levies back into Augustus campaign since the factions there are at the final reform levels.
    - Fixed some unit description/name entries.
    - Increased Macedon's income by 500 in the grand campaign.
    - Fixed Arverni starting unit sizes in grand campaign.
    - Fixed Parthava culture in Grand campaign (new campaign only).
    - Fixed Numidian Legionaries not being recruitable.
    - Changed faction names for some mini-campaign factions.
    - Fixed starting cavalry for Egypt in IA campaign (new campaign only).
    - Changed some region names and fixed vanilla spelling errors.
    - Fixed the pet monkey that was slightly too cunning for its own good.


    Battle
    - Hoplite Phalanx changes - Small decrease to charge and increased flanking penalties.
    - Decreased mass of chariots
    - Fixed some difficulty levels not unlocking rams and having incorrect siege times for AI.
    - Slightly reduced number of siege engines for AI to prevent spamming with ladders.
    - Removed galleries for AI.
    - Added boiling oil for AI from campaign start to prevent player torch abuse.
    - Towers are now more deadly and their projectiles have a little knockback effect.
    - Fixed Dacian archers variant/animation bug.
    - Various stat and unit size fixes.
    - Elephants are now more durable.
    - Decreased falx bonus vs. cavalry.
    - Found the missing pants that some units left at home.

    Awesome! I love the speed you're churning out updates!

    I've mentioned this before but have you looked at Pontos Peltasts? They're relatively cheap, early game units, yet they're amazing all rounders. They can last long periods against heavy cav and hold their own against heavy infantry over prolonged combat (probably due to their superior stamina). On top of this they have deadly missiles (although horribly inaccurate, even from close range!) and can hide effectively.

    They're the best in their class by a huge margin so there's really no point in buying similarly priced units. I limit myself to 4 per army.

    Please don't forget to remove the vanilla unit corio gaesum (spear unit for galic tribes when you recruit a general) And also the chartaginian marine archers (land unit) and the thracians still need some love

    just a comment on roman legions post imperial - both evocati versions can be recruited into the same army meaning you can put 10 veteran legions +1 first cohort in each army and there is scarcely any reason to make regular legions as their stats are better for the same cost. I think their cap could be more stringent imo.

    If I run the new fixpack and an old fixpack (with priority) together with the Steam version, do I have the old fixpack (personal mod which contains only a few changed files, the rest is deleted) to load first? I presume.

    And generally, if the old pack loaded first contains f.e. Del_land_units and the new one contains a different Del_land_units, does the game read only the firstly loaded old Del_land_units file without reading the new one at all? Or does it read also the parts of the new file (f.e. some additional lines) that are not contained in the old file? I don't hope so. You get my prattling?

    BTW I don't like pants, do I have to stop playing the mod?

    Rafkos can probably answer this better. However, from my understanding our intent with sieges is to have both the player and AI spend a few turns building siege equipment and taking time to siege a city. Currently, the player can still rush in on turn 1 with torches and ignore siege equipment. This fix was intended to make this less desirable for the player.

    This is actually a bug currently and we are working on fixing the Roman reforms. You shouldn't be able to recruit Polybian during Marian and Marian during Imperial but you can.

    Really happy about tower-buff!

    Any chance to make capturing points take longer - (if it's moddable) so that boiling oil actually has time to be effective, and not stop working so fast because one mob put his foot in the area of control and made it neutral in 5 seconds or so.

    The optimal thing would be for enemies to actually have units on the walls to cancel boiling oil and towers, not on the ground only - but I guess that's not possible.

    ya that would be nice.

    i was so looking forward to capture points being removed. damn shame its hard coded.

    That would be excellent! I'm tired of trying to locate a unit to the tiny area between boiling oil and area of control.
