To be fair, on the Democratic nomination side; if someone had told me that Jeremy Corbyn was going to win the Labour Party leadership, I'd call you an idiot - now I'm not so sure. Sure, the Democratic nomination is much more dominated by Hillary than Labour's contest is by any one individual, but still - the comparison is there. For all our differences, the UK and USA share political trends now and then; Thatcher and Reagan and neoliberalism, Clinton and Blair and 'the third way'. Left surge could be the next trend, but as for a Sanders win - on that, I'm not so sure.
