    Default Suggestions for clan ranks

    I plan to make a clan called Knights and Kings(ironically there is a mod coming out with the same name...great minds do think a like).

    But I can't think of any good ranks. The ones I have come up with aren't too great lol.

    King {KING}- Leader of the clan. Rules by "divine right"

    Noble(s) {N} or {NOBLES}- These men/women act as a legilature. Some matters will be given to them to debate/decide the course of the [K&K] clan. The King may also call on them for advice and/or popular opinion.

    Knight {K} or {KNIGHT} - Experienced players who can get victories as 3 or more factions. Also have been in the clan for a while

    Swordsmen {SWORD} - Players who have been in the clan for 1 month.

    Serf {S} or {SERF} - New member. This rank does not last longer than a week.


    I plan on keeping the first two ranks though.

    The ranking system seems rather skewed. Knights for example have to be able to win victories as 3 or more factions. Naturally it seems pointless since they should be able just use their best faction. Not to mention they could be just about any faction and still win against a total noob.

    If you ask me as well you should be promoted based on real merit, not time in clan. Are you active? Have you done good things for clan?

    I agree with Revan, cut the ranks down to
    King - current leader
    Nobles - founding members/members that have proved themselves
    Knights - all others

    This makes for a more streamlined and applicable hierarchy in my opinion.

    hmm I like that....so much simpler lol

    I decided to make the clan some what democratic(I still have total control of the clan of course)

    I have made the Nobles sort of like the house of reps. Members from the {KNIGHT}'s can vote on who they want to be a Noble. For every 4 members there will be 1 Noble. A Noble can serve a term for 4 months and be relected but must step down after his two terms of 4 months. After the next election he/she may run again for a position in the Nobles.

    I like this, maybe add Squires to the bottom, to show that new members in training. Then when they get some rep, knight them. Then when they starting taking charge and be commanders in the clan, exercise moderator rights, make them nobles. Then give the one man who leads the clan the king status.

    lol yeah I have 2 non-military titles

    Diplomats: Offer alliances/peace treaties/clan war offers
    and
    Spys: Cannot comment on what they do at this time

    Guardians (New members but trusted ones)
    Knights (New Members but "not" that trusted)
    Slave (New member)

    I think having slaves will be a little insensitive to some people.

    yeah..and higher ranking members probably would take that rank to literal meanings lol...besides the slaves would be commanding armies

    adding ranks like lieutenant captain or man at arms, aswell as sergeants.


    Us wolves have an original ranking system:

    Khan: Everyone bows to the leader.
    Orlock: Golden Family members of the Khan, expand the empire of the khan by controling different sections of the Khanate.
    Noyan: follows the direct orders and command of the khan and his family and passes them un to the backbone of the Khanate.
    shaman: Usually one non-ranked member that guides the pack and is good giving advice. Should you be his enemy he will throw the bones against you and curse you.
    Wolves: The backbone of the Clan, gladly put their lives on the line for anyone in the pack, also help instructing the future wolves to be both estrategically and traditionally.
    Cubs: They have been given the choice to be born as a cub and be trained by the ways of the wolf. their past doesn't matter for their true colours flourish in the pack. Some make it, some try and don't.

    Be creative with your ranks no matter what. Names don't mean much unless you give each rank trust and a sole purpose.
