ROFL! Classic. Nothing more humerous then watching BBQ Thracians.

AI is especially dumb in sieges - parks the army within the reach of tower fire and just sits there with its forces melting away like ice on a hot frying pan.

In the midst of a battle, the barbarians thought it would be good to go bathing in the cool river.

i notice you don't have texture shading or whatever it's called, enabled. It'll get rid of the pointy leg syndrome.

Yea you are right! I turned it off one day when it was 2 full stacks. Then i nvr turned it on again. I noticed that orignal skins dont have pointy legs while the roman modding legions one have. I think so..

Srry, don't have pics but do have a good tale. I like to call that battle A Work of My Considerable Genius, but to the ppl of Nicomedia it is called The Miracle at the Southern Gate. The specs: Me (Macedonians)- 40 thracian peletast mercs. 9 general's bodyguards (general is a two star). Seleciuds- 600+ army, 2 units of war elephants, phalanxes up the wazoo. Pontics- (allies of Seles) 300+ army. Ok so as soon as my main army is occupied besieging Peraguamum the Ps and Ss marshal huge army and attack. Since Ss have elephants, no need to wait a turn. luckly Nicomedia has stone walls. I decided to prepare to die bravely. Put the peles on the walls, general below on street. Seleciuds march whole army within range of towers. Pontics march around city IN RANGE OF THE TOWERs to help Ss. both elephant units attack. first elephant slain instantly by boiling oil. Peles open up...and the result is...slaugther. Both elephant units wiped out to the last man. Pontics lose 200+ before routing. Ss lose 400+ before withdrawal. I lose....ONE MAN, from luckly war elephant archer. Needless to say the Ss never besieged Nicomedia again.

Well, I don't got pics right now but I once got a great victory against the Thracians while playing my Greek Cities campaign. I had raised up an army of about 10 armoured phalangites and 2-3 peltasts along with 2 generals (Antigonos of Sparta and his son Leonidas) to face off the Thracians in northern Greece (the main reason I went to war against them was because of their VAST amount of money-they were the richest faction after the Romans). So I headed for Seutopolis with my army when a smaller Thracian army with 6 Warbands and 2 Thracian Peltasts got my attention. So I chased his army heading further into Thrace (to the north-east of Sardinia) untill I suddenly faced 2 HUGE armies. I was attacked by the first army and when I retreated I got attacked by the 2nd one so I was engaged into battle. To cut a long story short, I lined my phalangites up near the borders of the map and the stupid barbarians just kept falling on my wall of spears getting killed one by one. In the end I had killed more than 3/4 of his army and almost no one was able to escape, as I chased them off with my swift general units. In the end the few remaining Thracians lined up and I sort of trapped them with my phalanx units forming a sort of big V entraping the panicked barbarians and killing every one of them. I had killed more than 7000 units (If you don't believe me I will gladly prove it to you) and I had lost a mere 200 units! I had never killed that many units in a single fight!

BTW how do I post pics cause I don't get the hang of it

    Custom Battle 2:

I won several battles with a general by the name "Gyras", witch later named "Gyras the Conqueror".
Maybe he will be named "Gyras the Great" soon?

How is the name system, for example whats after "The Conqueror"?
