Low taxes. Mostly low taxes and some growth buildings.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

And not recruiting units - thats rather important in the case of the dwarves.

I don't know. After some development, I can recruit units mostly without issue as long as I don't overdo it.

Yes, I should have said the key is recruitment discipline, especially early on. Once you get pop up over about a 1000 you can recruit more freely.

I find the dwarves fairly easy in this beta, if you know what you are doing. If you sign trade with all your neighbours and put taxes at low everywhere, you are still making tons of money, growing and after some turns to build up your population, you can expand everywhere you want. Their units are absolutely awesome as well.

Macedonia(FYROM) is Bulgarian. If you don't believe me, read a book.

Launched as Adūnabār, quit after being massively overwhlemed. Started my first proper game as Dunland, they seemed small enough to learn the infrastructure changes while still having some nice early expansion options. Took all the nearby rebel settlements including beating Tharbad to Swanfleet, as well a Gondor's western fort. All the I was while besieging Helm's Deep with my elite units after using them to slaughter a large Rohirrim stack at the fords of Isen. Rohan ended up wasting away their manpower on the Hornburg while I built up my economy, I swept through their land then turned back and wiped out Tharbad who had tried to backstab me in a pretty pathetic manner (2 units isn't all that threatening).

    Loving the mod so far.
