The Lordz Modding Collective is proud to announce the long awaited release of the NTW III v5 mod

Detailed install directions & download links are below

Step 1.) We recommend you run your disk cleanup and defrag the hard drive before downloading and installing the v5 mod

Step 2.) You MUST download and install both Part 1 & Part 2 zip files for the NTW III v5 mod to work correctly

IMPORTANT This is an exe.application file that writes the v5 mod files to your hard drive and you may have to authorize the download and installation of these files with the anti-virus software that's on your pc. This is a normal security precaution that you may encounter.





Step 3.) Go to the download folder and un-zip the NTW III v5 install files, select the exe. Application file, right click and
choose"Run as administrator" to start the installation. You may have to again give permission to install the NTW3 v5 program.







Step 4.) Follow the instructions on the automated install screens and allow several minutes for the files to be copied to your HD.

You will be prompted to Finish the install at which time the new NTW III v5 launcher will be placed on your desktop.

Step 5.) Check that you have the proper v5.0 version installed and your off to the battlefield

Step 6.) A screen shot of the data folder with all of the ntw3 files is here if you need to check your install. The many HB pack files have been abbreviated to save space, Lord Desaix can provide if needed. The localization file will change with the game selections for the MP, HB or SPC mods.

As for the instruction, shouldn't we (i) remove all remaining folders and files with "NTW3" in its name, (ii) "verify integrity of game cache" in steam before installing v5?

My download is working fine, thanks guys. Can I confirm the difficulty settings that should be used for the SP campaign? Also (once you are rested from your task and there is some spare time) would you be able to provide a changelog?

I just get a empty archive when I try to download it. Part 2 is working as it should though.

Edit: Nevermind, I got i downloading correct by downloading it on another computer!

I don't know if this is the correct place, but I have a couple of possible historical bugs. As Great Britain playing the war of the Third Coalition, I can recruit the "1st Foot Guards ~Grenadier Guards~". I believe they were only given the title "Grenadier Guards" after Waterloo, when they were believed (mistakenly) to have defeated grenadiers of the Old Guard (they were in fact Chausseurs, iirc). This is also when they adopted their bearskin.

Secondly, I think the "1st Regiment Foot ~Royal Scots Fusiliers~" description is for the Royal Scots/Royal Regiment of Foot - these were indeed raised in 1633, whereas the "Royal Scots Fusiliers" were formed in 1678.

Please take the time to read them. Also your old v4 campaign game saves may NOT work correctly with the new v5 mod due to all of many changes and improvements.

Downloading the two parts went smoothly as did the installation. I also was able to get to the startup screen. However, when I tried to actually start a single player game (Castiglione 3rd) the program crashed and gave me a message that it had stopped working. I tried restore vanilla files and it still did not work. I wonder if other people had the same problem.

It sounds as though your trying to play something other than the SP Campaign which will cause it to crash, please read the notes for campaign players here ~ Lord Davn:

Sorry mate, they didn't have them on the Napoleon battlefields and you also no longer have them
Remember muskets were notoriously inaccurate during this time with a effective range of only 50 to 60 yards. That's were the term "can't hit the broad side of a barn with them" comes from. You're going to have to get good and close to your opponent to inflict some casualties. Also pay close attention to the accuracy & firing ranges in the unit info cards. It will make you a better General.

My Bad. I had the Heartbreaker faction unlocker still in the data folder which caused it to blow up. I uninstalled v5, cleaned up the files back to true Vanilla, reinstalled and now it works fine. Thank you for all the hard work and in helping to keep this Napoleon game exciting!!!

Thankyou, I had read them, but it contradicts itself, saying battle AI should be set on hard in one part and normal on another.

It should be set to NORMAL for best game play with the changes to the morale stats & such. Thx I'll check our posts, some of them need to be updated ~Lord Davn

In v4 installation instructions you have posted a screen showing the files to be removed. Should be easy to paste it in v5 install instructions

Just remove everything in the data folder with NTW3 on it. The new installer will copy all of the new v5 mod files for you. I'll see if something can be added ~Lord Davn
