What Will Day 1 FLC Faction Be ?

This is pure speculation but we know now all the playable factions and the first culture pack faction for Attila. If we are to use Rome 2 release as reference there will be one more free faction released together (which was Pontus on released) and some more factions with the released of subsequent DLCS.

So for Attila, in case CA is following this method, what will the faction be ? My guess it will be one of the faction in Britain, possibly the Picts. It will be strange if CA did not include a playable faction from Britain.

the Red huns, on the eastern border of the sassanid empire is a good choice...

Perhaps the Picts from Caledonia or the Scotii from Hibernia will be included in the future some time. I certainly hope so. I hope we will get the Romano-Britons too, but that seems less likely considering the Romans still had control of Britain in the late fourth century - and even in the early fifth up until AD 410.

Seeing as the huns seem to be included with the playable factions in some sort of card thingy (top third from the left) on the picture showing what you get in the special edition of ATW it seems likely that they will be the day 1 FLC.

They already added 'Viking forefathers' who were not even relevant to this period and people are content with the decision. I don't see why Axumite Kingdom (there is a debate thread some pages back) and others can't be included later who actually existed and thrived during this period.

I dont think you plan day one free lc, you include them if you dont have time to include them on the disk. And many digital downloads are apperantly from discs.

Romano Britons will almost certainly not be playable and will be an emergent faction like in the first BI

I'm not sure about any free-lc... I think they'd have announced it by now, pretty sure they did reveal Pontus more than three months before the release. Anyway if there's a free-lc, that'll be the Huns. Otherwise there'd be another card for the guide.

Wow i can't believe people are still in denial that the Huns will be the day 1 free dlc faction. Ok look at the poster from the collectors edition, that shows the Huns and their traits. Nonplayable factions don't have traits. Then read the descriptions of the poster
