That looks better then RTW II special edition with there onager!. But yet i wont buy it for the prices they ask.

Will those fire effects really look like that in final game? or is it just simple photoshop like they did with RTW II.

And it looks like 10 faction will be playable without dlc, not sure and can't see which.

Well, I'm sure the community is going to have a fun time with this thread...Even I, someone who doesn't really care for complete histroicalness, find this a tad...off putting I guess? Were these tribes actually prominent at all during this time? I honestly don't know.

there are 2 things there may have come true, first; all unit preview are real and all people who complained was wrong (more or less), Or second Osprey sold out.

That's actually the funniest thing - because people always use Osprey books to point out CA's inaccuracies, but if CA was using Osprey the entire time....

Not sure what to say. Doubt is starting to grow, after seeing some of their design choices with the factions, the quite early release date, and now Vikings? Much of this game looks so great, and I love the period, I just hope it won't end up badly.

WRE / ERE / Alans (see crimea) / Something in Northern Europe / Sassanids (See Arabia, large blob) / Looks like Balkans / Looks like Balkans / Central Europe / North of the steppe again / Saxons

We know of the WRE, ERE, Alans, Visigoths, Vandals, Ostrogoths, Sassanids, Franks, Saxons, so there's a remaining one?

Just because they are throwing in a book for the collectors edition, doesn't mean they've read it. Judging by the units we have seen so far they haven't read anything from Osprey or any other serious history. If they have they largely ignored what they read. Their sources seem to be cartoons and movies.

I think they have chosen to make the Hetphalites (white huns) playable, they would be able to still have Attila as a unique faction or whatever they are trying to do with him.
Also the last faction looks white so thats something aswell.

As a player: lol. LOL. I'm so buying this. Never mind the Huns, FEAR THE TIME-TRAVELING NORSE. Pawning Saxons and Christians 500 years before it was cool.
