    Default Why no steam version?

The hole point i bought RTW was because i wanted to play as my favorite generals, Marcus Crassus, Pompey, and Julius Caesar. What stinks is i didn't even want a steam version of RTW....i bought from gamestop.com and thought i would just get a retail download

Sadly, It has been very long since the creators of the mod had last visited the forums... We can only hope they will come back and maybe make a steam update..

I can update TFT to work with Steam.... but first I need to get the Steam version of RTW. I'll grab it next time its on sale.

Problem is, TFT uses exe files to launch the game and do some file swapping. So it's probably not just a matter of using one of these launchers; I would need to rebuild how the mod files are set up.

I learned in the past week that you can add your original RTW key on Steam and it will activate RTW Gold in your library. Nice of CA to make that possible.

Anyway, I was able to load TFT v1.92 just by changing the target location in the initial installer. Everything else works as-is. When asked where you want to install, simply put in the path of your RTW folder in your Steam folder. It should look something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rome Total War Gold

I've made a new installer, but it seems sort of pointless given that the original installer works just fine. If you need further assistance just let me know in this thread; I'm checking in more often as I've gotten back into modding with Attila and Rome 2.
