    At the moment, it seems that #15's morale issues are still there. Contact results in mass routs on both sides.

    Trying out #16 right now. I'll let you know more.

    DO NOT USE WITH THE VANILLA GARRISONS SETTINGS FROM THE DARTH MOD LAUNCHER SETTINGS! NOT COMPATIBLE AND IT CAUSE PROBLEMS.

    After making sure that I had not chosen vanilla garrisons, here are my findings:

    #15 - No change, contact or near contact causes a rout.

    #16 - The lines met with no routing though 1 minute or so in and several units on both sides were already in the yellow or red with flanking units not having made it to the rear.


    I should note that the enemy had two generals to counter my two. All four were used to flank so there was no morale support in the center, although that would just mean the enemy would rout sooner than mine. Either way, the battle would end faster than intended I think.

    I used your AUM mod along with this btw. That's the only gameplay-centric mod I had besides darthmod.



    I love the variety you have in your adjustments and appreciate you still taking feedback.

    I tested with #15 with player created battle not a campaign battle and there was no instant routs-the battle was about 25minutes long. What units rout first? Was this a campaign battle?

    Yes it was and the units were lines of yari ashigaru. It was a new campaign for the sake of testing so no leftover variables from a previous campaign.

    I'm willing to do a full re-download of everything if it comes to that, especially since it seems I'm the only one with the problem.

    UPDATE: REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT VERSION ( Longer Battles and Lower Anti Cav) AI factions are more defensive and develop their regions more with less aggressive behavior, less war. Better Regional Defense and Regional Development and Less Aggressive AI. post #13

    Going to try this mod now see what its like thanks for tweaking darthmod, i personally think it needed it because it has not been updated since 2013 sadly. Think i shall start off with the hattori clan and use lots of ninja units to ambush my enemy's in the flanks while soaking up damage with with my samurai units from the front lines .

    Bran, when I attack someone in battle, their units just keep waiting for my charge. They do not maneuver or anything; I can simply pick them with archer cavalry, and, after they are weakened, decimate them with my foot soldiers. Is this expected? Shouldn't they actually react to my archer cavalry picking them from afar?

    Also, sometimes I notice the AI leave a random number of squads far off from the main force, near the edge of the map.

    Using post #1 settings and also Bran's settings for AUM-SHO units.

    gabby-tested 3 custom battles and 2 campaign battles and did not experience what you did.

    I mentioned on an unrelated thread but feel I should bring it up heredumb question but do I need to start a new campaign for this to take effect? I picked #15 version of the settings and switched it out in mid-campaign, and when I did, my army of veteran samurai charged an enemy of raw ashigaru, and my samurai SHATTERED within moments, barely suffering any casualties. I switched it back again and it was back to normal.Now I'm starting a new campaign but I don't see any differences in the units stats. Actually going back I see some minimal difference, +2 or +3 to armors and morales scattered about. Is that what the settings should be?



    EDIT: Also, does this settings modify the unit cards in any way? I'm playing a normal campaign and I'm not seeing the enemy units' full cards (just the name and number on a single line). As well, I'm not getting Generals speeches anymore.

    I think the problem has to do with the penalties for flank and rear attacks-will test with new settings. Lower the flank attack penalty to -5 and the rear attack to -10 in Kv Morale and see if that helps. No the settings do nothing to unit cards. I think the melee defense is too strong and will lower it.

    ive done a few more battles (Fall of the Samurai) and I think your settings are hitting it very well. Enemies suffer pretty sick casualties from consistent rifle fire, but almost always less than 50 and with enough time for them to charge. Neatly balanced, although it makes dealing with non-modernized enemies a pain in the ashhole when they stock up on yari ki.my only remaining problems are the smoke (it doesn't last long at all) and the thing with the Unit info not showing up in full

    yes this is good, as my Line Infantry have been getting severely decimated by samurai. but dumb question to ask; I am in the middle of a campaign, can I replace the Darthmod file with the updated one now or do I need to start a new campaign?
