    For example :

Dear Bruce7 I have been using your presets on GEMFX so far as in my opinion they have been great for me , you're latest edition to version 1.06 is awesome - but could you do a preset where the blur does not take over the top/bottom of the screen- may I suggest a slightly weaker blur version, if you would do this I would be very grateful or if you can tell me how to do it manually, as every time I try to correct the blur, it goes completely blurry so I have to revert to you're default version.

Getting the settings as the picture above with a bit of blur but not too much would be awesome - but I am still using you're settings for now (I just have to enable blur in battles, still very strong, but I disable on the campaign map, as I can't read the writing) - Any help or another preset would be a helping hand - THANK YOU for your time & have some friendly +REP - cheers

Hello and thank you plissken 3,
To remove this effect you have only to go to the sweetfx tab and deselect the box "vignette" then save configuration and of course in game reload by key "pause"

I understand there's no file yet to easily change the GEM settings to personal preferences in Rome 2. If there is where could I find it?

I'd like to reduce/remove the heavy blur in the current version of GEM, and instead make the game more "drawing-like" (don't know how it's called in actual graphic terms :p). I also would like to reduce the impact on the game's UI, and reduce the shininess. In a previous version of GEM my game looked really great that way and I like seeing details on my units. Currently every chainmail in the game is more like a grey blur, whereas I used to be able to count the rings on them (slight exaggeration ).

Perhaps someone has the presets for such drawing-like effects in GEM? I'm trying to upload a screenshot to explain things better and I'll do so when I find out how to.

Don't know if such settings will make that big a difference (something's wrong with (probably vanilla) texture quality in my game since updating GEM), but at least I'll be able to enjoy my game zoomed out

Ah i see - fantastic - thank you so much mate
I did as you said, also turned the "Blur" power down a bit and the radius, now it's better but still very blurry, Iv'e toned it down a bit, but it's still there, I thank you for your help but I will just wait for your new preset, or wait till I know exactly what I am doing until then I am still using you're preset without the blur - thank you kind sir

    with regards Plissken3

Note that I have changed the blur to the "L" key. "K" only toggles the interface.

Just thought I would add my own version - as I turned the blur down a bit and just tweaked things for my own taste-thought I would share

Yes, especially the second picture (with colour of course) is great, in the first one the lines are a bit too thick to my taste

I've already found the setup file by now and I managed to have the drawing effect. All is great, except in some battles it's really too dark, whereas in others (notably in spring) everything looks way too "light" (like my units are ghosts from afar).
