Second Age Total War is a project that has been in and out of development for several years, with several different ideas, time periods and even teams (not including Radboud, Radboud is a constant presence in all the SA projects. All). Our goal is to bring Tolkien's Second Age to Medieval 2 Kingdoms. The Second Age of Middle Earth is a rather obscure era, which is partly why we chose this time period (plus the others have already been done, but that's almost completely unrelated), and we hope to do it justice. As it is probably the least described of the early ages we will of course take some creative liberties, but rest assured, we will stick to the canon for as far as we can, and anything relating to Peter Jackson or pigriders is strictly forbidden. Where we cannot find information we will likely look to the other ages for ideas and implent them where we can. In design we will mostly follow the books, but again with some creative liberties.
The mod starts in 1690 SA, an interesting time period indeed. The Numenoreans have left their harbours and have started arming their men, Celebrimbor has crafted and distributed the rings of power, and Sauron has shown his true intentions to the rest of the world. Will you fight to bring peace to Middle Earth, or will you use your power to dominate the world and rule as its dictator?

Note that this is only the current active team. There have been several people in the earlier ones who deserve mention, as well as several people who in some capacity have given advice, suggestions or have generally been helpful, and we shall compile a list of these as the mod gains more notoriety, and we create new content.
Credits
Rusichi Total War for their incredible models and textures, which they generously have decided to let modders like ourselves use. Without them, this mod would be a lot duller and probably a lot deader.
