    Teutonic Classic Hotseat



    Players

    The Rules

    Basic rules

    - When admin intervention is needed you must send me a PM

    - If I don't get a PM don't expect me to do anything


    You have my permission to bombard me with PM's. It is preferable you send a reminder PM to the one who is up/late before sending me a PM.

    - Time to play your turn is 24h. I recommend everyone to publicly appoint a subber and give him your password if possible. If you know you'll be missing a few days post about it in the thread and ask to be subbed if your turn comes. No subber appointed means I will sub once or twice when you're late. Before subbing I may grant 24h extension first and send a reminder.

    - Only 1 extension every 5 turns allowed. If I have to sub more than a few times or you give yourself extension too often or for too many days you can expect to be skipped.



    - No exploits/bugs allowed. F.e. movement bug, merchant stack/fort, agent stomping, surrounding armies/navies to deny retreat, armies on ships to go through enemy zone of control (brown tiles where armies should stop), spies spreading plague

    - When you think a rule was broken send admin a PM, do not post in thread unless you have evidence / rule break is obvious.



    Military rules
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

    - Battles between human players are auto-resolved. Screenshots must be posted with: odds and result screens, mouse over the odds bar to show the ratio, the armies involved with their banners visible on the campaign map, unit card of siege unit (ballista/catapult) must be visible if used to directly assault settlement.
    - Battles vs AI can be played. No screenshots needed.
    - Defeated armies and navies can not be moved for 1 turn.
    - Heroic victories vs players aren't allowed (exception when it's impossible to get another result)
    - Ships cannot leave blockaded ports. No attacking ships in ports using a game bug. It's not allowed to keep units in ships in ports to protect them from being defeated. It's allowed to attack ships in port if they contain units (unless they retreated there after being defeated).
    - Not allowed to sally out if the result is a defeat.
    - Cannot besiege settlement to deny the army inside to reinforce.

    Agent rules
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

    - 2 spies with at least 60% chance of infiltration needed to open gates of fort/settlement, screenshots must be posted.
    - It's allowed to have 2 assassins + 1 for every 15 regions you own (when you have 15 regions you can have 3 assassins, 30 regions - 4 assassins)
    - Assassins cannot sabotage. Not allowed to kill family members, generals, princesses. They need 60% chance to assassinate, against other assassins just 40% needed. Screenshots required.
    - Merchants need 60% to acquire other merchant's assets. Only allowed in your own or official ally's regions.

    Settlement rules
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

    - No destroying buildings. Only inns/guilds are allowed to be destroyed and only if settlement is not under siege.
    - When receiving a region through diplomacy all units except 1 must be disbanded.
    - Not allowed to exterminate settlements
    - Allowed to have maximum 2 forts per faction in normal regions and 1 fort per faction in small village regions.


    Other rules

    - No Jihad or Crusades allowed



    This hotseat uses an updated Teutonic bugfixer modification
    To install:
    Extract the files from the following link into mods/teutonic folder and overwrite

    Instructions to make 2 versions of the same mod if you want to keep vanilla teutonic as a separate mod

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    1) Make a copy of teutonic folder, rename it teutonic_classic for example. In this folder extract the files I uploaded, make sure they're in the right place, they should overwrite existing files.

    2) In teutonic_classic folder open teutonic.bat with notepad and change @mods\teutonic\teutonic.cfg to @mods\teutonic_classic\teutonic.cfg and save the file

    3) Then open the teutonic.cfg file and change the first line mod = mods/teutonic to mod = mods/teutonic_classic and save the file.

    4) Run the mod using the .bat, create new shortcut to desktop if you wish.


    Changelog and uninstallation of bugfixer:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    -Made Mongols be able to recruit imams in masjids and added recruitment of Dismounted Light/Heavy Lancers in high castle levels.
    -Given some small startup boosts to Norway and Mongols.
    -Important changes to guilds bonuses
    -Changed the Pagan Magician ancillary (-2 piety) which every general would get if a province has 10% heresy to require at least 25% heresy.
    -Lots of small tweaks not worth mentioning


    -Changed turn order to Norway - Mongols - Lithuania - Teutonics - Poland - Novgorod - HRE - Denmark.


    To completely uninstall:

    Go to teutonic/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign and copy the files in backup folder over the ones in imperial_campaign folder

    In data/world/maps/base delete the map.rwm file and replace the descr_regions with the descr_regions_backup provided in the folder.

    Lastly delete the txt files in teutonic/data folder.

    I will update rules and stuff as I do them. I will have to see what's with that Teutonic bugfixer, is there even a majority of players that we should use it? I will check every file of this small mod and update them to 1.5 and upload them to use, and I will probably ask everyone to make a backup of the whole teutonic mod folder or at least some files.

    I suggest Mongols to be left AI unless nearly all other factions are taken, at least 1 from each block: Denmark, HRE-Poland, Teutonic-Lithuania, Novgorod. Norway should be more important than Mongols for map balance. With Novgorod and Poland taken, if Lithuania is taken as well and no one as Denmark-HRE and Norway or Teutonic, Mongols shouldn't be available.

    1.52 is steam version and there hasn't been yet any compatibility problem with 1.5 in other hotseats.

    Just to play the extra factions, no. But if you want the bugfixes in the minimod suggested above yes everyone needs to download some files I will upload later. Anyone who doesn't wish to have the hotseat with the minimod bugfixes speak now.

    Should I give some boosts units/money to Norway/Mongols since they aren't supposed to be playable and are weakest factions?

    If we play with bugfix, these factions will already be boosted by the creator of the fix.
