Hello to everyone, in effort to keep this fantastic thread alive, I would like to share with you my pretty interesting position I found myself in - 22 years after the campaign had started. I play as Arverni and my goal is to reverse historical events and to restore the glory of old gallic walfare.

Background: When I started this campaign, I wanted to be as trade-open country as possible, so I decided to defeat Carnutes and Namnetes for their tradable resources as well as Spain for their copper and iron cities (with "Infantry Chainmail" technology I was able to not only obtain tier 3 cities (but with immense !180! volume of resources produced) but also to spend huge funds for equipment of my 2 main armies (with level 3 weapons and even armour)). In addition to wars that I won, I was also successful in diplomatic negotiations, acquiring vast areas by creating Gallic Confederation with Nervii and Boii. As of now, the celtic world has positive attitude towards me. My initial objective is to reverse the history and subjugate Roman empire for their reprehensible impudence. After that I would like to declare a war to all Greek city states and conquer them as well. My final, most difficult and challenging quest is to invade Asia itself and spread the celtic culture all over the world. As I said before, I was quite dedicated to build my success on economic power, so through wars and diplomacy I obtained many valuable resources, all of which my faction exports to the 24 factions from entire world (trade agreements, not bad for gallic faction, huh? ). Also, my political influence in my own faction is almost peerless, which gives me huge bonuses to public order, morale, diplomacy or tax and research rate. I have only 2 main armies, but elite in nature. The main army had conquered almost everything I now possess and consists of best euqipped troops whatsoever. (in order to allow recruiting elite soldiers, I rewrote global reform conditions to EVERY culture, because I did not want to wait so long). So now, they are ready and eager to plunder the city of Rome. With this save I offer you to make use of these veteran warbands and to invade civilized ancient nations (non-barbarian).

Good afternoon. I have decided to upload my current Roman Julia faction save on the DEI mod just in the off chance someone else might have some fun playing it. This is my first time uploading anything so hopefully it works the way it is meant to.

As you can see Rome is on the brink of war with Carthage and most of the Greek states, Pontus has all but annihilated Egypt and Carthage is starting to settle on the mainland of Europe. I have in no way created the perfect empire and would love some structured critisism as i look to improve my skills and take on a harder difficulty. I really lack any particular commanding Legion as they are all around level 2 and my navy is lackluster. I have also came through two small civil wars, public order and food are starting to become a difficulty and may have to look to Greece, Thrace, Spain or Africa in order to resolve this although the most recent conquests in Gaul were proving a problem.

    Have fun.

Here is another save, it might be more of a rarity due to the fact that it is a Spartan save and I control all of Hellas, Rhodes, Illyria and Pannonia (Turn 94). I should also note that i changed the reform date for all factions so that epic battles with elite units may be witnessed from more early on in the campaign.

After my very first turn Macedon moved its army out of Pella, I presume that they were planning to attack Thrace. For whatever reason this led Athens to believe that it could move north in an attempt to take Pella. Due to the fact that Sparta starts as defensive Allys to Macedon I took the advantage, declared war on Athens and conquered the city. From then on it has been quite a hectic campaign, although it has slowed down now.

I am building my regions up with the eventual plan of taking all of Macedonia, Thrace and Asia. The war against a joint Macedon, Pergamon, Sulucids and all of the Selucid satrapies will be absolutely epic! Therefore, I have started trading with anyone who will agree and I am now researching techs to improve the navy.

I have a few Armies at my disposal while managing to maintain an 8k+ positive revenue per month with taxes set on the lowest amount. This has been a very enjoyable campaign so far with many opportunities to invade different parts of the map. Sparta has outgrown Hellas and looks North, East, West and South to find a target.

I will upload the same save but roughly 50 turn forward after building up my towns, my navies and replacing the older soldiers with the new reformed ones.

I have also broken the defensive alliance with Macidon in the hope that I can now completely control Macedonia (Note: The turn after this upload I tried declaring war on Macedon to see what happened, Pergamon joined against me and plunges all of Asia, Thrace, Hellas and Macedonia into war.

If only I kept my Carthage campaign, Epirus conquered Rome and Greece before I could, that would be an interesting show.

    Greetings,

Here is my save for the Romans, at this time it's still a Republic - no civil war has happened yet.

The size of the realm is basically the same as the Republic's maximum extent,
with legions & agents ready to invade Egypt (Asia Minor & Southern Egypt itself) & Britannia,
though some legions are stationed at the borders in case any factions got naughty ideas.

I've tried to keep as many factions alive as possible & prevent them from getting too big,
only Egypt is reasonably big & the Gatae (client state) in the north-east is reasonably big,
and the Iceni basically control Britannia - all other factions are roughly the same size.

    Highlights of the save:
    -0.0% Empire Maintenance
    -Large income
    -Many factions alive
    -Many friendly relations
    -Several Client States & Satrapies
    -No civil war occurred yet
    -35% family influence
    -14 legions, uniquely named/recruited
-Able to choose some character skills
    -Food surplus (roughly 40)
    -All regions Jubilant (very happy)

    Difficulty: Normal/Normal

Let me know how you like it!

It's quite a fabulous empire. Wealthy and well-functioning. I never used generals and dignitaries to reduce empire maintenance. Of course that way the smaller factions don't stand a chance. It felt like there was nothing left to conquer. But nice work, must have been a lot of work.

Romans conquer macedonia and attack sparta and Athens I choose to form the Hellenic leagge and unite them before they get wrecked. No enemy for the current moment exept one general. The armies of pergamon must be rebuilt and money is not a problem. Who you choose to attack. You can follow the path of Alexander and go east, you can fight the hords, you can betray your allience with egypt and buckstab them or fight with Rome.

I've done a lot of mistakes Especially with generals governors staff because it was my first dei 1.1 compaigh and i has not read the manuals. And also maby some techs and cities need to be rebuilt because of continius wars i cared only for public order and food

Here is the save file for my Leugoz campaign. 238BC. Nicely poised; Germanic and Celtic tribes slowly turning and uniting against the Romani.

To bring this topic back alive: Playing as Macedone at turn 167, most borders are secured. Playing on Hard/Hard, no submods.
It took me many tries, but now I did it: Playing as Macedone and Marian Reform hit Rome. Prepare for the ultimate showdown in (alternative) history.

    You have:
    - Most of the land your ancestor "Alexander the great" conquered
    - 1 army in southern Egypt
    - 1 army in southern Saudi Arabia
    - 3 armies on the western front, ready to face Rome

edit: Save file corrupt, i'll upload it later again

Haven't checked it yet but I doubt it. If it contains an exe. then it's a no go for sure.
