Yes I am a bit of a WW2 anorak - have been for a long time. The quiz is fun - good idea on your part. Here's a question from me. What is this - exactly. (not quite as easy as it seems):

What, that guy died around 1900 or something. Right? Alois jr. was a half brother, but at least he lived to see the next century...

I have to go out. It's Friday night and the pub is calling me. I'll post the answer to the pistol question when I get back.

Still no cigars - Swiss Luger was a great guess though. It is German and here's a picture of the marking from the back of the grip as a clue. (I'm really into firearms but if this is too boring let me know and I'll drop this subject.)

    How about the luger 1900?

Or the 1900 long without the extra handgrip

Dont think it is the navy luger, as the navy luger looks like this:

see it doesnt have the handgrip

Well done that man - yes it is a P.06 Navy Luger. It's from my personal collection and is one of a handful that survived from the batch issued to the former German colony of Tsingtao in China.

Later Navy Lugers didn't have the grip safety so I apologise for confusion caused by that feature on mine - cigars to both of you!!

    10. OK. If you're into firearm, name this gun.
Hint: Used during WW2 in Pacific theater.
