I've seen some parodies about ISIS floating around Youtube before, including even Jordanian and Syrian TV parodies of ISIS, but this one produced by the Kurds of northern Iraq tickled me.
Especially the whole bit about the male goat.
Parody and satire are well established comedic sub-genres in Western TV, but it's not every day a Westerner is able to have exposure to other cultures and their handling of parody. This isn't restricted to the Islamic world, of course, since South Asian, East Asian, African, and Latin American countries have their own comedic TV programs that focus on parodies. However, for the sake of conveniently narrowing our focus, let's keep this thread strictly about parodies produced by Iraqi TV programs.
I'm not sure when parodies were first made for Iraqi TV, but I assume even under Saddam Hussein's brutal dictatorship there were at least some TV parodies with tons of propaganda aimed at Iran and the US, naturally. Is anyone aware of anything like that available on the web? I haven't found anything right away on Youtube. I have, however, found various parodies made in recent years, at least since the beginning of the Iraq War in 2003.
