Which time period and setting do you prefer? Personally Shogun 2 bores the living crap out of me, but only because I have no knowledge in japanese history and all the clans kinda feel like clones or each other, so I would recommend Rome 2 any day of the week, but I know many think of Shogun 2 as the better game mechanics and gameplay wise.

Shogun is better from a game-play perspective but can be boring. Rome II has a more interesting setting but isn't as good. Also Rome II has no playable Iberia. I want my Bull Warriors CA!

Well gunning down Samurai with gatling guns and breach loading rifles is hillarius in Fall of the Samurai. However R2 have much larger variety. In Shogun you only play as the Japanese unless you download a mod that lets you play as one of the westerners.

Well for me, FotS are more entertaining.

Exam's are usually easy so long as it isn't all essay questions.
My issue is that for one class I accidentally missed the deadline for an assignment worth 30% (so I didn't do it cause I thought it was a week after it was actually due) and now I have to do the essay for that class so I don't fail and now the essay is bloody late, so I have to get to work. Next week I have the exam for that course.

Yeah I hope that works out for you. I narrowly missed getting a first for my degree because of too many late hand-ins while I was working on my RTD and being an idiot in the second year.

Hot damn you're alive. I guess I'm biased cuz I started playing Shogun after I became a weeb and always liked smaller campaign maps, but it has been brilliant fun. Still prefer Europe overall but it's nice to have a change.

Just you wait until Uanime releases part 2 of the Morning Sun Mod (and when me and Wu Guo finally get around to finishing that map ). You can play as a few Japanese factions, Mongols, Manchus, Korea and China. Get Shogun 2, it's actually fun and Fall of the Samurai is amazing.

Shogun isn't all that special, FotS is great though. Those naval bombardments are really awesome.

Unfortunately it won't be out for some time since we need more coders and modders.
And I have been so busy that I haven't worked on the map recently.

I wish Fall of the Samurai had that Rome 2 mechanic where you can have ships in your land battles and port sieges. Instead what you get is an icon that lets you do naval bombardments in battles where artillery shells seemingly fall from the sky on your enemies.
Also you can carry out strategic bombardments on the campaign map along the coastal areas. Naval battles are really fun too, I love using the HMS Warrior and smashing like 40 gunboats to bits. That torpedo boat though is a tiny little thing and if you don't see the torpedo it can wreck your boats.

about morning mod is that you get to see Korea and play as Koreans, only if Diamat was here

Well there were like 100 settlements in Japan alone and countless factions. I conquered Japan and I didn't even want to invade Korea by then.

That's not hard with mods. There's mods that increase the size of the number of men you can ahve on screen. Mine was like 800, with army sizes of 20000.
