New Name And New Forum

Hi All,

We will be changing the mod name with the next update to something more historical (yes that means a Latin name )

We've mulled over many many different names and finally arrived at a new name we are all happy with:

Vae Victis (Woe to the Vanquished)

With the new name and release we will also be moving to a new forum and changing both the module system and numbering system for the mod.

The new release (Magnar Mod v2.35) will now be v0.6 of the new mod with the target of v1 including all factions overhauled.


The current wip version of the new mod version is nearing 700mb and could quite possibly go over 1gb before its finished (current released version is only 150mb). There are issues with steamworkshop and mod file over 190-200mb. This means we need to structure the modules for the mod differently.

The new version will have only 1 version (x2 unit size and 4 turns per year) on steamworkshop and other versions available via download links on our new forum (1/2 tpy and x1 unit size).

The steam version of the mod will be done similar to other large mods with part 1, part 2 etc etc, with all parts being required. The non steam versions will be singe files with everything in 1.

No guarantees of course, but we are working really hard to get the big content release out before the end of the month. Lots to do between now and then and lots of patching to follow. Hopefully you all give us plenty of feedback
