    Prince Zachary Arryn, aged 24
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Skills (6):
Battles +2: Zachary's training in the art of warfare was done by his uncle Eon, a veteran of the Blackfyre Rebellion. It has provided Zachary with a sound understanding of battle.
Jousts +2: Like all good Knights of the Vale, jousting is an important part of Zachary's repertoire of skills.
Escaping +1: Much like his late father, Zachary is very agile and fast to react to dangerous situations.
    Duels +1

    Eon Arryn, aged 43
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Skills (10):
+3 Battles: Eon, veteran of the Blackfyre Rebellion and its aftermath, is a true master of the battlefield. His orders were decisive in many battles he attended, when he would lead a flank of the Valemen.
+3 Duels: Eon never bothered with learning any kind of courtly behavior. Instead, he dedicated that time to crossing blades with others. His fast swordplay vanished many enemies on the battlefield.
+3 Jousts: Even though he isn't quite the legendary jouster his brother was, Eon's riding is still a sight to behold.
    +1 Capture

    Ser Aurane Arryn, aged 21
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Skills (6):
+2 Charisma: Aurane is one of those people who could probably make you think it's a good idea to take your wife out to the tailor. His swift tongue and pretty face are good tools to get what he wants.
+2 Jousts: Even though it is not quite his passion, Aurane's lance strikes truer than most. Must be in his blood.
+1 Capturing: Even though he is just as nimble as his older brother, Aurane doesn't quite use his agility for the same purpose. Whereas Zachary makes sure he can get away unscathed, Aurane has a knack to keep people from doing just that.
    +1 Duels

After her visit to Casterly Rock, Lady Myrcella Hightower decided to forgo her visit to Riverrun and decided to head straight to the Eyrie. SHe and her small escort of Knights arrived a few weeks after she had left Casterly Rock. They requested entrance into the Eyrie and an audience with Prince Arryn.

A group of Northern riders arrive at the Eyrie. A rather large and well armed group for simple messengers, but one can never be too carful with the local hill tribes. Just by the look of them the riders seem worn from the long journey south, they fly the merman of Manderly proudly as they approach the ancient keep's gates.

The Hightower party was granted entrance to the Eyrie. After the climb, or the basket, to the top, they arrived in a spacious hall, the Crescent Chamber. Servants stood ready with warm wine, to get the Hightowers back up to temperature. The lady was led to the High Hall, the beautiful and long hall made of white marble with a bluish glow over it. Atop the weirwood throne at the far end of the hall sat Prince Zachary Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, Lord Paramount of the Vale, Prince of Mountain and Vale. "My lady," the young prince's voice sounded through the room. "Please, take a seat and tell me to what I owe the pleasure of having you in my halls," he said as he rose from the weirwood throne. He bowed for the young lady, and took her hand to kiss it.

The Manderlys were received at the Eyrie with open arms. Instead of leading the visitors to the High Hall, Prince Arryn was already waiting for them in the Crescent Chamber when they got to the top of the Giant's Lance. "To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing my family here?" He asked.

Myrcella blushed when the Prince kissed her hand, not yet used to the noble formalities that one must follow through. To her, it was handsome man touching her. She did her best to try to hide her emotions/ She took her seat before she said somewhat nervously "I come on a diplomatic matter Prince Arryn. The horror that was the Sickness severed our many ties and bonds of friendshipa nd my borther has sent me across the realm to try reestablish them, even if it is nothing more than just a friendly visit."

"Thank you for coming," Prince Zachary said. "Your brother is a wise man. It's good to see a Hightower at the Eyrie, it's been such a long time." He suddenly frowned. "Oh, where are my manners. I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I. I am Prince Zachary Arryn. May I know your name, my lady?" A servant entered and stood at a discrete distance, waiting. "Would you like some wine? Or maybe something sweet, such as fruit juice?"

"My name is Myrcella Prince Zachary." replied Myrcella still in a somewhat nervous or rather distracted voice. "The warm wine that your servants offered me when I first entered will do my Prince."

He quickly sent the servant away to get two of those. "It's quite a trip to the Eyrie all the way from the Reach, isn't it?" Something the Arryns know all too well, he thought, recalling the stories about Arryns raiding the Reach. "I do hope Oldtown had recovered from the Spring Sickness a bit. I'd imagine disease spreads quickly in such a large city. I do hope your family didn't suffer personally?" Mine did.

Myrcella frowned silently at the mention of the Sickness and she poke with slight hint of sorrow in her voice."We suffered much Prince Zachary, both my city and more importantly, my family. Tens of thousands of small folk died in Oldtown and from what my brother told me, the bodies apparently littered the cobbled streets of Oldtown. And then there was losses in my family, my mtoher, my father, two of siblings were just a part of the Hightower household who perished, leaving only a small and emotionally scarred group who remained." By the end of her words, a few tears had begun to from and flow from her delicate, rosy cheeks.

By the Seven, Zachary thought. He could literally punch himself at the moment. [I]Next time try to find an even worse subject. Why can't I just be a little bit smoother?[i] he thought. Aurane wouldn't have been so stupid. He had always been better with words, or maybe just less ing stupid. "I'm so sorry," was all he could say. It certainly was an impressive death tally. "I'm afraid I can relate," he said, laying one hand on hers trying to comfort her a bit. "Both of my parents were taken as well." That's not much better, jester. "They're in a better place now, though, I'm sure. A place without pain, without hate or sickness or war. And I know they're watching over us." The servant peeked around the corner, saw that his prince had already managed to make the girl cry, and decided he didn't want to be a part of it. "Oops, spilled it," he muttered to himself as he poured the wine over his doublet.

The man at the head of the party, a distant cousin of Lord William, inclined his head to the Prince Arryn. The dozen petty knights following him inclined their heads in agreement. "It is the wish of my Lord Manderly that trade links be established between White Harbor and the Vale, between Arryn and Manderly."

After the tourney having occured, five riders approached the Eyrie, bearing the sigil of House Targaryen. Notable for the group was, that she was led by a hooded person in a black dress, assumingly a lady. Gold-silver locks of hair could be barely seen from beneath the hood. All of the riders were cloaked with their hoods covering most parts of their faces, assumingly due to the heavy rain during the last weeks.
"Open the gates for Lady Rhaenyra Targaryen", one of the riders shouted when they were in range of the Arryn guards, "She requests an audience with Aurane Arryn, the brother of the Prince."

Prince Zachary frowned. "I'm sorry, Ser," he said, "but all of my merchants are already occupied with other destinations I'm afraid. I am forced to decline your request. If one of our trade lanes gets freed up, I shall write a letter to my dear uncle in law myself." He called his castellan. "My servants shall lead you to your chambers," he said, "and you are free to join me at dinner tonight."

The guards opened the Gates of the Moon, and the Crownlanders were allowed to enter. They were left sitting in the barracks for several minutes, before the Castellan of the Gates, a knight named Harold Runey, entered and sat with them. "I must disappoint you, my lady," he began, "but Ser Aurane has not yet returned from the capital. He stayed there on his own initiative, and we currently don't know where he is. Of course you are still invited to come up to the Eyrie, if you want."

The lady looked up to the knight, revealing the face of Rhaenyra Targaryen.
"If the hospitality of the Eyrie is still on my side, I shall acknowledge this offer nevertheless", she said, "I'm patient."

"Very well," he said. "We'll house your retainers in the barracks. You could sleep in the Maiden's Tower, my lady. It has the best view over all of the Vale. Would you prefer to go up by foot, or take the basket up?"

When they arrived at the top of the Giant's Lance, Prince Zachary Arryn was waiting. "My lady," he said, acknowledging her with a kiss on the backside of her hand. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but even I frankly have no idea where he's run off to. If I may ask, is there any special reason for your coming here? I suppose Aurane invited you, but he didn't inform me. Besides, it's not everyday we have a true Targaryen in the Eyrie!" He laughed, took a cup of mulled wine off a plate set there for the guests to warm up, and raised it before sipping.

Rhaenyra took the kiss as a compliment.
"He didn't mention my visit, your highness?", she asked slight chuckleing, but still with a charming smile, "Odd, as I had the feeling that he was eager to see me after the tourney. I actually came, because he was interested in my poetry - or would you say, that this statement of mine would be a shameless lie and I am here for more obvious reasons?"

"Oh, I believe in the honesty of people," he said with a smile. "That, and I could imagine Aurane talking to everyone he thinks might be interesting. He's quite talkative, maybe even too much so. But please, enter," he said, leading the Targaryen girl further into the Eyrie. "I suppose you'll want to spend some time in your chambers before dinner. It'll be ready when you are." Two female servants came. They would show her the guest room, and help her with anything she needed in there.

She smiled about the kind offer.
"I have no words to describe the honor, you are granting me, your highness", Rhaenyra replied devout, but with slight excitement in her voice, "A poet girl invited to dine with none less than the Falcon Prince, a descendant of Kings - you are aware that this is the stuff which is made out of romantic stories, I guess. I'm impressed by your offer and will appreciate it to delight your evening. Does his highness prefer a certain kind of dress code for his female guests, in which I should be interested?"

"Whatever you think is fitting," was the prince's answer. He himself would have to dress up in his finest attire, he knew. "It is not my place to impose a dress code on my honored guests." He bowed. "Now, if you would excuse me, My Lady. I have some ravens to send."

A few hours later, the dinner was ready. The cooks had made a quite refined meal, with mashed potatoes and pork in a golden roasted skin. They also had prepared various vegetables, cooked to perfection. To drink they had set the table with multiple kinds of wine, white and red, and a few locally brewn ale varieties. Prince Zachary was waiting for his guest, sitting at the head of the table. He wore a dark blue doublet, black linen pants, and he had placed his modest crown on his head. It was a simple golden band, without many ornaments.

Rhaenyra arrived as well, wearing a scarlet-red dress which matched her thin figurine, but wasn't all too much ornamented. Silver strings were embedded into the chest area in the shape of the three headed dragon of House Targaryen. The wide sleeves of her dress resembled a black colour.
"A nice crown", she began the conversation with a smile, before she sat down at the table, "I guess, it is hard to hide, that dragons have a desire for those, undepending if black or red. But I doubt that it would suit me."
